Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a southern girl (and being 65, I use the term loosely!) who has been at this genealogy thing for many years. I love cemeteries and find them as beautiful as any park with the added bonus of beautiful markers and a 1000 stories. So naturally I love this site! I live in Savannah, Georgia so I have a lot to explore.
I am excited to add new photos and search the site for "missing" family members!! Candace S
Family names..Morgan, Thompson, Shiver, Fulghum, Jeffers, Elder, Belford, Winterbotham, Coss to name a few......

RE: Bridget Paula O'Keeffe and Ambrose N O'Keeffe
Hello Candace,
They are in St. Mary's. St. Mary's is the Catholic Cemetery. There is a separate cemetery listing for St. Mary's but some contributors listed the memorials in Evergreen Cemetery. I sent edits to contributors to try and work it out but it never completely happened. I have the Section in St. Mary's listed on the memorials in St. Mary's.

RE: Do you know....
[Needed ancestry to help me figure it out - if Susannah Fouts Morgan was related. This is the way both she and husband, Isaac Morgan are related to me --

Susannah Fouts Morgan
Birth 1779 Nc
Death 1822 Washington County, Indiana
[Wife Of Brother-In-Law Of 2nd Great-Grandfather]

Isaac Morgan
Birth Abt. 1775 North Carolina
Death Abt 1848 , Washington County, Indiana
[Brother-In-Law Of 2nd Great-Grandfather]

In reality, not blood-related in any way I can figure it out. [Makes me wonder why they're in my d/b- but they are 'married-into's', so I guess that has to count for something :^) ]

Daniel Crowley
Thanks for the Daniel Crowley, Find A Grave #158526300, duplication notice. However, my memorial is for a Daniel that was 7 days old. The other listing is for a Daniel that was 6 years old, Find A Grave # 163473910.

George Moore
When I went to make the links you suggested, I noticed you attached a picture of the obit on George Moore's memorial with the date of May 5, 1966. The date of the paper was June 6, 1966. I went back and double checked it.

If you got the clipping off of, they have the date of the paper wrong. And newspapers. com has the papers/obits copyrighted.

Just a comment on the two dates on two stones. The second photo with the dates 1906 - 1984 agrees with Cemetery Records.

Reading difficult stones
I saw one of your posts and your mention of tracings from difficult to read stones. It can be done with aluminum foil and a soft toothbrush.... a little less pressure is needed with this technique, and of course that's good for the stone.

RE: Hayden
As far as I can tell, we and others have 98% of Volume II recorded but I do want to review the volume and double check. I have started Volume III and after that want to go to Volume I. I have spent most of this Christmas Eve and will be doing the same Christmas Day, but I have to admit, I will stop for Christmas Dinner. At my house, there is just Pa, my grown daughter, Toni & I.

RE: Hayden
I have found a Ellen Hayden and here is the info:

She died May 28, 1909
At passing, she was 84 years of age
A Native of Ireland
Residence was St. Joseph's Hospital

My opinion, and for what it's worth, is that she is with her husband and she may or may not have had a stone/marker at one time and it has been grown over.
