Please do not copy and post personal photographs of my family members to other websites such as without my permission. I do not have a problem with reusing my tombstone photos for your personal use, but credit would be a good idea as they are my photos. Also note that I did not take all of the photos on my memorials and can't give permission for the ones I didn't take to be reused.

My husband and I started trying to trace our roots back to Europe about 30 years ago. We were fortunate that several of our ancestors kept some records and created family books which were the start of our adventures. We were surprised to learn that both of our families had branches in this country since the 1700's. Most of the entries I've made have some connection to these families, although remote at times (cousins many times removed). A few are just made from photos taken as we walked a cemetery looking for our family members. I am proud to have become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and am currently working on my third ancestral application in my Spicer line.

I do not intentionally link to burial unknowns for purposes of creating family trees. Please do not request such links. I will delete them if found.

RE: Herbert & Rebekah Birk Photo
You are very welcome-always hate to post a photo when there is no death date on the stone. Now I know where she is at. Thank you for the info!

Did you know they (Find A Grave) will only let you do five edits a week now? It is a new rule.

Charlotte Anderson Malone
Looks good, thanks. See our research here: Note it appears to be first name Lancaster last name Lemaster for grandfather which would explain that confusion.

Charlotte Anderson Malone

According to J Remick's wife: There has been some confusion about whether her biological parents were John Wesley Anderson and Elizabeth Lemaster, or JWA's son William Harlan Anderson and his wife Sidney Ann. In one census, she is living with William and Sidney and listed as their daughter. But, documentary evidence does not support that relationship. On her marriage application, Charlotte listed John and Elizabeth as her parents (posted on our tree on Ancestry) and in addition my dad and his sister have a huge number of DNA matches with Lemaster people and none with Sidney's family or JWA's first wife's family.

Thank you!
Thank you, distant cousin, for transferring my great-grandparents, E.P. & Louise Yust, over to me. I will add details to their memorials. I was young when my great-grandmother passed, but I still clearly remember her saying, "Run and play when you're young, because you can't do that when you get to be my age." My mother and her siblings adored their grandmother. I definitely recognize the name Minnie (Yust) Birk. It's interesting that we're both interested in family history. Maybe interest in genealogy is a genetic thing. Thank you for taking the time to create their memorials and for all of your contributions to Find a Grave.

RE: Son of IW Hodges
Thanks for the additional information on the Son of IW and EJ Hodges (#66491748). I don't suppose the Bland Cemetery Transcription gave his name? Surely he had one at 15 months old. Is there a way I could get a copy of that transcription? Best, Anne Walradt

RE: Andrew Marvin Potter
It was really late when I sent this message so I must have not noticed that Marvin was listed with the siblings. I was attempting to set up some virtual cemeteries for my family. I am helping my DUV group set up a virtual cemetery for our Union Veterans ( Leander A A Potter is my Union Vet I joined the organization under, FYI) and I was
practicing !!!!
I would love to be in contact with any descendants, such as your brother in law. My grandmother was Ertie Potter Wallis, wife of K Wallis. He had that rock store in Valley Springs back in the late 20s and early 30s. My email for you guys to contact me is

Ignore my request. I plead exhaustion! I set up about 6 virtual cemeteries last night for Wallis, Potter, Fullerton, Stobaugh, Ketchum, Box. I need to do more but want to add Branum, O'Daniel, Morris, etc.

Transferring Memorial
Are you a descendant of Leander?

I am a great granddaughter and if you are not
related I would like to have the memorial
transferred to me to manage. Thanks
Virginia Brandt

If you go to Ertie Vivian Potter Wallis page it
will show that I manage her page.

Thanks, Ginny
