Bio and Links
Bio Photo Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."
~Jim Tipton, creator of Find A Grave.

Families we are researching: Buckmaster, Patterson, Wollam, variations of Teatsorth, Falk/Faulk/Falck, Johnson, Lee, Collier, Eschbarger, Orr, Brinton, Thomas, Grau, Hyde, Case, variations of Brandeberry, Richcrick (Reichenbach), Slote, Balken, Ulmstead, Flower, Dick, Graham, Hyatt, and many others.

Also a focus on our American veterans. We have virtual cemeteries for the 31st and 49th Ohio Infantry who fought during the American Civil War, and one for each war the Buckmasters have fought in.

Dave & Julie:
Thanks for the kind words. The only thing I can point you to is the website. You might try the state level officers in lieu of the camp officers.

The local SUVCW members would certainly want to attend. I would suggest you determine where the nearest camp to you is by checking our website at:

http://www.suvcw.org/?page_id=85

Once you know where the nearest camp is, an email or other contact would be appreciated. That camp may even be able to hold an appropriate honor ceremony.

Thanks for letting us know!

The information was not found on a Newspaper site. It was found on Familysearch.com which links to Michigan Obituaries, 1820-2006.

This site is described as:
Index and images of obituary collections organized by county or newspaper and then alphabetically. Extracted information as well as newspaper clippings are represented. The originals are housed in several libraries and repositories throughout Michigan. Some collections contain obituaries from other states and nearby regions.

The link does not include the newspaper to where it was printed.

This is the link to the obit image.

I believe everyone has a past and deserve to have it known. As FamilySearch.com as secured rights to the image and posted on their free site, give them the credit.

Posted by FamilySearch.com on their Michigan Obituaries repositories collection.

RE: William White #30201519
No, unfortunately, the only think I really have stating where he was buried is from the link I sent stating that he is buried on his family farm "and is buried in the family burial ground on the farm where he died" (http://archive.org/stream/genealogyofwhite00vand#page/8/mode/2up). I guess that's why I was asking if there was a record for the burial as stated in findagrave. Thanks.

My dad was a close friend of Larry Buckmaster of Wichita. His parents were Charles M. and Eva (Nichols?) Buckmaster. Charles' memorial states that he had a son Harold who survived his parents and siblings. Any connection?
