I started doing photo inventories of cemeteries in St. Lawrence county NY in 1999 and have close to 200 cemeteries inventoried on my home page (see link below). I copied the inventories to find-a-grave and am uploading the photos here. If you find a photo on my website that you would like uploaded here, please send me an email or leave me a message and I'll be happy to add them. |
I lived most of my life in the Washington DC area where I took photos at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) from 2007-2015. I now live in Colorado but but still visit ANC when I can to take photos. However, I no longer claim requests due to stalking and harassment from a couple other volunteers. I hope to regain the feeling of dignity and serenity that I used to have when I walked into the cemetery. It is one of the most honorable, respectful, and to me, sacred locations in the world. I am still (as of 2017) trying to keep the listing of interments in Arlington National Cemetery up to date on FindAGrave, despite my efforts being monitored, critiqued and disparaged by one of the other volunteers.
Let me know if you would like to take-over management of any listings I manage for your family/friends. I generally honor such requests, but please realize that edits can be made by using the edit tab on the memorial without any need for transfer of management. While in the past I never turned down a transfer request, recent actions on some of my transferred memorials have caused me to occasionally decline. I may decline when the requester republishes recent obituaries without permission from the publisher (in violation of item 3 of the site "Terms of Service"), creates duplicate or burial unknown memorials (in violation of the site rules), or adds inappropriate biographies which to me include biographies that are NOT about the person, but solely about their husband, ancestors, graphic details of their death, or only about the history of the plane/ship/etc they served on.

Thanks for getting back to me, Anne, and thanks for transferring management to me... I will take good care of her!
Thanks for your diligence as you go to the vet's cemetery, and the honor those that you show with your pic's and entries. Wish I could help defeat those that feel they have to compete as if this was a sport, but I'm too far away. They are found in all the states, even in Louisiana. So just continue your service, please. And be aware that there are many on your side....
Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for granting permission. I appreciate.

Note on William J. Badger memorial has Mary A. Kingston Badger born in Spencerville... Was this Spencerville, Ontario, perhaps. A google search finds on Spencerville, NY and insists on selling me real estate in Spencerport...LOL. Maybe a location name change... I don't have enough research power to find birth records. I am connected to the Badgers through Ruby Ann Blair.

May I have your permission to use the photo you took of my cousin's headstone in my family tree? I really appreciate the hard work you have done for me and others like me who cannot. These photos, which I use in the Death and Burial section of my relative's profile page (not the profile photo) add a lot to otherwise barren pages of forms and statistics.
Thank you so much,
Carol Barber Hudson

Thank you so much for adding the photos for Ebenezer and his daughter Lucy. Was there also a stone for his wife Sally? Sorry to be so slow in replying.
