Bio Photo I no longer make changes, additions, transfers from messages left on my contributor page. Please follow FindAGrave procedures by using the Edit tab on the memorial page to request changes, additions, request transfers, etc.

Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.

Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.

I follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers of memorials:

Second, Transfer requests will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials.

Memorial# 97648150
Hello,

I would like to submit changes for the above memorial for my ancestor, Sarah Hay who was born Sarah Ann Plant. Her parents were John Plant and Mary Ann Davis.

I would love to have her linked to her father's virtual grave which is Memorial# 181659441.

Regards,

Lisa

RE: edits
Yes, I know about the DC neighborhoods and drop down menu and have used it many times, but don't see the point in adding District of Columbia District of Columbia i.e., same wording twice if there is not a specific neighborhood to also add. Otherwise, It will be most everyone in Mt Olivet to add that way, and seems unnecessary to me. A specific neighborhood or part of DC, then yes, but this is just my perception.

RE: John Lutz #86911648
Thank you for the website reference. Pretty neat stuff. Also, it does reference John being a veteran of the war.

"Adlerís father-in-law was John Lutz, Saddle, Trunk, & Harness Maker, High Street, a veteran of the American Revolution."

But the dates are off. If this John was born in 1775, he wasn't old enough to be in the war. The copy of the will I have does reference his son-in-laws Morris Adler and Nathaniel Marden so it solidifies the lineage. Perhaps it really was his father John who was in the war. Research for another day.

John Lutz #86911648
Hello, it looks like I may have another DAR relative. What information do you have linking this John Lutz to a revolutionary war patriot? Also what documentation do you have connecting this John Lutz to his daughter Jane C Lutz Myers? I found a copy of John's will which lists his wife and daughters but wondered if you had any additional sources. Thank you for all you do on Find A Grave.

I now see you were only asking about the middle name. I'm not sure so you can ignore that edit. Where did you get a birth year of 1814? I'm trying to track that down next. Thank you.

RE: Jane C. Lutz Myers 55112228
Hello, thank you for being diligent with confirming requested changes. I have the marriage certificate and death certificate for Jane Lutz Myers. I'm not sure where I got Catharine as a middle name. And a death certificate for their daughter Fannie lists both parents. How can I refer them to you?

RE: SSGT Bela Schlesinger 133000739
I don't have a death certificate for him, but all of our paperwork was 14 July (including the headstone, which would have been ordered and approved by the family).

The headstone says Hungary (it was actually Austria-Hungary at the time he was born, so I guess both would be correct, but I'm going with what's on the stone).
