What began as a way to memorialize only members of my family has turned into something larger and seemingly open-ended. Most of my memorials are not for my relatives.|
I have done extensive work in the following cemeteries:
Calvary Cemetery, West Chicago, Illinois
Concordia Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois
East Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, Illinois
Glen Oak Cemetery, West Chicago, Illinois
Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, Illinois
Marywood Cemetery, Aurora, Illinois
Oakwood Cemetery, West Chicago, Illinois
Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva, Illinois
River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, Illinois
Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, Winfield, Illinois
Union Cemetery, Saint Charles, Illinois
West Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, Illinois
I have tried to add as much information as is readily available. I gladly will make corrections or add information. Please do not use flowers for these purposes. Doing so is against FindAGrave guidelines.
Feel free to use any of my photographs for non-commercial use. Giving credit where credit is due would be appreciated.
Thank you to those who have added photographs and flowers to my memorials. They are appreciated. Please let me know that you have done so. I would like to see the photographs and flowers myself.
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
“The evil that is in the world always comes of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence, if they lack understanding. On the whole, men are more good than bad; that, however, isn't the real point, but they are more or less ignorant, and it is this that we call vice or virtue; the most incorrigible vice being that of an ignorance that fancies it knows everything and therefore claims for itself the right to kill. The soul of the murderer is blind; and there can be no true goodness nor true love without the utmost clear-sightedness.”
Albert Camus, The Plague

I would like to thank you for adding this info, my family did not know about her until I found a 1880 census listing her as a child. She is a sibling of my great grandfather, Duncan Albert Johnson, memorial # 75370170, and daughter of Daniel Donald Johnson, #75370197 and Mary Graham Johnson, #75370379. Thank you!!
Thank you very much. Ironically, I need to add my Grandfather, Earl to link. Still waiting for his transfer. I wear with great love, my GT Grandmother's wedding band, which I cherish every day. Thanks again.

I have updated Joseph Dore's memorial with his place of burial. Thank you for the location info and source. ~ Mary
I've made the name adjustment, noted her two husbands in her bio, and left her maiden name blank.
Thanks for following up so we could sort this out.

Thank you so much. I will check out the obituary sometime. I haven't found that newspaper online yet, so it'll be included in a trip someday.
