|Frederick Porter||RE: Paul Mapes DNA match|
I am on Ancestry, but all but my DNA match trees are private, too many mistakes that I don't want repeated! I usually handle adoptions by assigning the birth parents relationship as "Biological" and the adoptive parents as adoptive, there is a function in the "Edit relationships" tab that allows you to add more than one set of parents, sometimes the trees generated by the software are confusing though. Since the biological parents are the ones I am connected with, I make those folks the "preferred" parent, usually works out OK.
My Ancestry name is FHPorterII.

Thanks for the kind words, dealing with Andy's death is an ongoing struggle, but more good days for me now than bad.....
I am in the process of attempting to get in touch with Maude Miller's granddaughter (or one of the granddaughter's children) which would be pretty interesting for me, she has been such a puzzle. I am a DNA match to the daughter of her "lost" (adopted) son Paul Mapes, so that mystery is solved.
I love this stuff too!

How have you been?? Of course I'll transfer right away. It is a wonderful photo of Abram that you posted.
Enjoy your day,

Thanks for getting this photo! I was doing research for a lady who was trying to get into the DAR and thought this might have more info on the stone. Thanks for the photo!
