I have been interested in genealogy for many years, and love helping people to begin and be successful in this hobby. Cemetry information goes hand in hand with that hobby! |
The Alma Cemetery in Alma, Crawford County, Arkansas is very special to me......I have family buried there that came to Crawford County in 1842. My father, Louis Brown, took over the volunteer job of keeping the records of Alma Cemetery in the early 1980's. He spent many hours at the cemetery recording all the information he could from the tombstones and word of mouth from anyone that would share information with him. After his death in 1998 I took over the job.

Just saw in my notes that Sarah's mother, Mary Garner Moreland was supposed to have come to Arkansas with her children so I have no idea where she died and was buried.

Thank you for trying to locate & take a photo of my g-uncle's tombstone. It is truly sad that he doesn't have one for whatever reason.
