I am grateful for all of the many, generous contributors here on findagrave. I feel we are preserving the past and honoring the people buried in cemeteries because their lives, were indeed important and I hope after I'm gone, people will feel my life mattered too. I love the history you can find in cemeteries, funeral homes and museums. |
I'm on the Advisory Board for Osage Gardens Cemetery, a Member of Hillside Cemetery Association Committee and a Member of the Skiatook Museum Committee, it's interesting looking thru old newspapers and reading old obits while at the museum.
I reside in Oklahoma, LOVE to scuba dive and ENJOY walking cemeteries.
If you want to learn to make homemade headstones, for a person or a pet... copy & paste this website
or www.apcrp.org It's run by Neal, he's a great guy! Look for the "EDUCATION" link, then look for "CEMETERY PROJECT & HEADSTONES" link, once you get into the website.
I will be happy to transfer any of your friends or family to your care, my purpose is not to own them. I welcome input, suggestions, family links, will gladly add information or transfer to you so you may make any changes or corrections, etc. If you find any errors or duplicates PLEASE let me know, we all make mistakes. I feel the more information that's added and a headstone photo, makes for a better memorial. I'd like to thank everyone that has contributed to these memorials, for one person can't do it alone.
In memory of my Dad Kenny Milliken he was taken way to soon. If you have time please stop by to visit him.
I have been blessed with two dads and two mothers, making us a very large wonderful family. Please stop by and visit my stepfather Jim Phillips and leave him a token.
My stepmother Linda Ely was a major help getting me started in genealogy, THANKS LINDA!
THANKS, NEAL for your wonderful website www.apcrp.org

It isn't that I don't want to adopt his memorial...I just don't know how to handle one. If you pass one to me, then am I the only one who can type information, add pictures, etc. If so, HOW do I begin? If you don't have time for this, I will try to find someone to answer or perhaps there is something on findagrave, which will assist me. All I have done on Findagrave is add photos of gravestones for requests. I really appreciate that you have entered him on this wonderful site. Blessings, Judy in OK

I think I appreciate your moving this relative's site over to me -- but I want you to know that I have no idea what or how to continue... Can you guide me in some way? Blessings, Judy

|Judy T||CHAMBERS, Donald S|
Could our family make a few changes to the info listed for this man?
The census taker must have misunderstood because Donald never had a son named Sam.
He had children:
I guess just a notation for people in the future would take care of a problem that is arising
among this family.
Thank you for posting what you have and we can
give you other info. Is Donald Chambers in your family also?
Blessings, Judy in OK

Thank you for linking William to his parents. You are so dedicated and I appreciate all the time that you put into your volunteer service doing the legwork for others like me that can't physically search the cemeteries as often as I would like.

|DP||W. O. Campbell|
I just found this today and believe this is the grave of my GG-Grandmother's second husband, though I'm mystified as to how he ended up buried in Avant (she, as far as I have been able to discover, is buried in the family plot in Cushing).
Do you have any further knowledge of W.O. Campbell and/or are you a descendant or relative of his? "My" W.O. was also born in May, though I have him as born in 1862, though birth years, of course, can vary depending on the record. He was the son of Irvin(g) Campbell.
Any info you have would be greatly appreciated! And thank you for creating the memorial for him!
