Please note: all images and texts I have placed in Find a Grave fall into 3 categories:
1) Copyrighted by me
2) In the public domain
3) Courtesy of a third person who granted me permission to do so.

Images in the public domain are free to be used provided the rules are followed for the specific country where it will be displayed. For instance, in Sweden, an image is copyrighted after 70 years of the author's death. In the U.S. it is 100 years. So if an image is in the public domain in Sweden it may not be be true for the U.S. Please do your homework.

Images copyrighted by me are free to be used for private purposes, as long as I am credited as the author. They are not however, free for use in commercial sites. Royalty fees are applicable in this case. Please contact me if this is the case.

Images supplied courtesy of third parties may or may not be liable to royalties. Please contact the owner of the image in this case.

As far as the Swedish burials that I have supplied are concerned, I have received a lot of "correction suggestions". Most of them are dealing with moving some given names to the "Middle Name" field. I just want to clarify that in Sweden the concept of middle name does not exist. What exists is one or more given names and the person in question chooses which one of these given names he/she would prefer to be commonly known by. For this reason, I place ALL forenames in the "First name" field, as it is the culturally correct form for Sweden. When the "prefered given name" is known, then there is an asterisk (*) immediately following that name. This too is a Swedish cultural custom

Benjamin J. Nichols
I looking for any info that I can find on Benjamin J. Nichols. He was married to Elizabeth Jane Harrison 16 April 1840. I noticed that you were listed on her memorial, so was hoping you might have some info that you would share. Elizabeth died 12 July 1848, then Benjamin married Nancy Ann Walker 28 Feb. 1861. (Would like to find info on her to.)They had one child, that I know of, Lula, who then married my husbands grandfather, Henry Hagemeier. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. Cindy
