RE: Capt. Arthur Gray
1800 deed lists Arthur "late of Amwell" now living Chenango, Tioga County NY

1813 deed Richard Gray Washington Township, Morris County NJ to David Gray of Kingwood Township Hunterdon County NJ for $225 all lands Arthur Gray dec'd owned. This Arthur Gray is buried at Oak Summit Cemetery in Kingwood Tonship.

Hunterdon County NJ Taxpayers 1778-1797 showing one Arthur Gray in Amwell Township at the same time as an Arthur Gray was in Kingwood Township.

Tioga County became Broome County. In 1820 census there is an Arthur Gray under 44 living next door to a Mary Gray over age 45 and children -- likely Mary Reading Gray

RE: Prescilla Webb Hayden
You're welcome! We were just there yesterday on a 'Mayflower ancestor' trip from Missouri. We were just about to give up on finding it when I saw a very small headstone fragment on the ground and could read: priscila Age 1. This was her baby daughter's stone and next to it was the larger stone belonging to Priscilla. She was my 6x great grandmother.
Supposedly, these are the oldest headstones in that cemetery; certainly the oldest dates we saw there.

RE: Olive Ide Chapman, 128578820
I'm not related to this family, but stumbled upon Olive's obit and decided to add her memorial.

My source was http://fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html

It's a rich trove of New York newspapers dating from the early 1800's to the early 1990's. The site can be a bit slow, but worth the wait.

I transferred Olive and a few other related memorials to you. Will gladly transfer any others that pique your interest. Let me know.

RE: David and Esther Wyman
That was about all I found Anna-Sorry. If they are brother and sister, you probably could track Patty's husband thru her in-laws. That might give you the written proof of their marriage. You also could try going thru their children, if they had any. My other idea is to contact Dale & Patti Mower and ask them. They are on Find A Grave. Simeon and Thankful are Dale's g. grandparents, just like you and I. He may have info on Patty. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. The Wyman's can be challenging especially because there are so many of them and because record keeping wasn't the greatest.

Happy Hunting!

Hi Anna-

I love that photo too. When I came across it in my parents things I almost died. I'll check on Martha or Patty for you. I know you contacted Dale. I'm not sure if you asked him about your Patty. He descends from Simeon and Thankful's oldest child and I am from David their youngest, as you know. I'll check with him as well. Talk to you soon.

Simeon Wyman
Hi Anna - got your message on Simeon's memorial. I would prefer to maintain this particular one as he is my 6th-great-grandfather.

Amos Chapman
Thanks for your interest. I will double check for his wife's grave, but the cemetery is in poor condition and I likely would have already photographed her grave if it still existed.

The church associated with the cemetery was referred to simply as the Christian church and was built in 1837 by Orson Walbridge, author of the 1887 History of Springwater NY. It still stood as late as 1902 but has long since burned and there is no trace left.

Amos Chapman is mentioned in chapter 8 of Walbridge's history which is available free online.

Hope that link works for you.

I see that you have found and posted other Chapmans on your own site so I will transfer Amos's memorial to you.

Best wishes
