Bio

Over the past several years, I've spent much of my free time researching multiple Crago, Craigo, Cragoe, Crego and Cregoe family trees, and you'll find a lot of information on FindaGrave about those family lines. I've also identified more than 600 of my direct paternal and maternal ancestors. I'm happy to share most of this information with other family researchers.

I've tried to document every known Crago and Craigo in America prior to 1870, and have lately begun to concentrate on the Crago's, Cragoe's and Cregoe's of Cornwall, England, Australia and New Zealand. I have extensive family files as a result of this search (i.e., more than 6000 different Crago's, Cragoe's, Crego's, Cregoe's and Craigo's).

As Project Administrator for DNA research on the various Crago/ Craigo/ Crego families tested at FTDNA, I can say with confidence that most of the family DNA patterns in America are now pretty well understood. Contact me for details of that DNA research, or check out the website below.

Finally, I've recently joined the Guild of One Name Studies (GOONS), based in England, in order to further the study of the Crago surname worldwide. Any Crago, Cragoe, Crego, Cregoe or Craigo in the World is encouraged to join these efforts.

NOTE!!  In July of 2011, about 5000 memorials created and/or managed by the late Dr. Adalbert Goertz were merged with the 1,000 or so I had created and/or managed prior to that. I very much regret that when FAG merged the two accounts, they removed the credit which should be properly given to Adalbert for all the work he did. I'll readily acknowledge that most of the FAG work now credited to me was his doing. Visit his FAG memorial for more about Adalbert Goertz 69628876.
