Hi, my husband (Steve Patterson) and I are interested in our genealogy histories and enjoy the "detective process" of finding our ancestors. After unexpectedly finding images of my great-grandparents' tombstones on the web, I was thrilled - I'd never seen their tombstones before. This helped us to realize that documenting cemeteries on the web is a wonderful way to help other genealogists find their relatives. We enjoy this tremendously and have started planning our vacations around which cemeteries we want to visit. |
I am leaning on the tombstone of Alpheus Osborn, my great-great-great grandfather who lived in Fairfax, Iowa.

|Mike Brown||Hannah Fisher grave Monroe Co. Ohio|
Hello! I see you have the Hannah Fisher that is buried in Buchanan Presbyterian cemetery of Monroe Co., Ohio identified as the mother of John Robert Fisher. With no dates on the grave, is she definitely confirmed to be his mother? I'd be interested in any info on this grave. Hannah (Smith) Fisher is a 2x great grandmother of mine.

|JUDY WHISLER||CHRISTENA SARGENT|
I AM TRYING TO CORRECT THE SURNAME FOR HER. HER MAIDEN NAME WAS SARGENT. HER MARRIED NAME IS WHISLER. HER HUSBAND IS SHOWN ON HER PAGE AS WHISLER.
COULD YOU CORRECT IT TO SHOW SARGENT AS MAIDEN NAME AND WHISLER AS MARRIED NAME?

|Anne Winters||Dana cemetery sign|
Thank you for clearing that up!
|Anne Winters||Dana cemetery photo|
I'm puzzled by the photo of the Dana cemetery sign. It appears to be the entrance to a cornfield. Were The headstones moved to a different area?

|George Del Monte||About Eliza Cecilia ?? McCoy #26577381|
Cathy, I'm not sure why I'm paying so much attention to Eliza, but, nevertheless, I've stuck my nose into this: Since her Gravestone shows her name to be Eliza A. McCoy, yet her Find A Grave name is Eliza J. McCoy, could it be that the "J" is the first letter of her maiden name? I'm sure this is just a coincidence, but, since I dislike empty spaces, I habitually use JaneDoe for a female's last name as a placeholder in the absence of the real Maiden name (and similarly JohnDoe for a man's missing last name).

Thank you so very much. My sister is good friends with Jocie. I was shocked when I went to see if anyone had done her husbands page and seen her.
Thank you again.
