I began researching my own genealogy at the age of 15 in 2000 when my Mother got me interested in it. She had started genealogy in the 1970s, but it had come to a halt when she needed the 1910 census to be released. Since then I have become addicted to researching my family, my husband's and a few of my friend's as well. If I neglect to leave a thank you note for anyone who fulfills any photo requests, I'm sorry. I get bombarded with genealogy contacts every day and sometimes I lose track. I know that genealogy would be much more difficult than it already is without the help of volunteers. So thank you all, for everything you do.|
Names I research:
Killian, Solomon, Catlege, Eckhardt, Olesinski, O'Beck (originally Hoebeke), DeGlopper, Fochtman, Alexander, Eastwood, Couts, Meredith, Vigil, Burris, Casey, and many others.
CEMETERY PHOTOS OUT OF MY AREA:
Anywhere I travel, I usually stop and visit cemeteries that are old or interesting. If I have posted photos from other states or areas outside of Southern California, I took those photos on a trip, and unfortunately cannot take volunteer photos for those locations.

|James Bellert||Neumann (Newman) Photo Request|
First, did you know that you have duplicate memorials for this marker? One, the one you made the photo request on, is Find A Grave Memorial # 26094571. The other is Find A Grave Memorial # 26094579. You should probably delete the one you didn't request the photos on.
I got the best shot of the markings on the photo that I could get. If you zoom in you can clearly read the name "Pauline." Below that is the German abbr. "Geb." (born) 24 May 1886. And, below that is the German abbr. "Gest." (died) 18 August 1902.
I'm sure of those dates as I traced the letters and numbers with my finger.
The problem I had was that the engraving is in a German alphabetic script. The top line is eroded in the middle. I tried tracing it and rubbing away the moss, but I just couldn't read it. But I'm sure it said Pauline and I'm sure of the rest of it. The base definitely was "Neumann." There were a couple of other markers in front of this one with the names "Newman" on them. I believe all of them have photos on the memorials.
I hope this helps. Sorry I couldn't read the top line.

Most burials in this plot do not have an individual marker, just the Family marker.

Hi Ashley-I filled your request for Bruno Blusiewicz. He is buried next to his wife, Catherine Blusiewicz (1902-1952). I took a picture of her headstone too so if you create a memorial page for her let me know and I'll post it...Mary

No problem. All my grandparents, great-grandparents and then some are buried here. This place is well over a mile in length. Most people think it's smaller since only a tiny portion of the memorials are actually listed on Find A Grave. :)
|Michael Stanley Klimczak||Resurrection Photo Requests|
I see you have a few photo requests for Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. This is an extremely large cemetery with over a quarter million burials. Please use the following form to request the burial plots of those you want a photo of their headstone.
Alternatively, you may call them at (773)458-4770.
This helps expedite requests.
Not related, just mowed the rows at Sunset so those who did not know where an ancestor was buried, would now be able to find them. Feel free to request transfer via the memorials even if you are 4th cousin twice removed. It's ok. Really.

|Mary Arvidson||St Adalbert Cemetery-Kilians in Term Graves|
Hi again Ashley-Aniela Kilian and Frank Kilian are buried in unmarked graves in Term Grave Sections. A term grave was essentially leased by the family for 20 years and if at the end of the 20 years the grave was not purchased outright the grave would have been resold and reused. The original burial would have been deep and any subsequent burial above. The Archdiocese no longer has term graves and has converted most term sections into regular sections. When they were converted they were renumbered and renamed so it is not possible to determine the exact location of original graves. I have put a caption on the section overview photos for Aniela and Frank explaining that they are unmarked and identifying the current section name...Mary
