I'm The Old Chief. That's because I'm relatively old and am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer. I got into working with FindAGrave to enhance my work on our family tree through Ancestry.com and as a way to get out of the house and get some exercise. Although my residence is in central Oklahoma I travel throughout this great country in my RV so you may see memorial and photo entries from various states. |
I'm specifically interested in the names Stone, Weed, Davis, Jones, Berry as it pertains to our family in Oklahoma.
Also my wife's family: Hill, Rogers and Phillips.
TRANSFER REQUEST: If you see someone that is a member of your family and want that memorial changed to your account just ask. If I am not also related I will consider your request. (For transfer request that are outside the FAG guidelines I consider them on a case by case basis. If your profile shows you have MANY more memorials that you "manage" than you have actually done the work to add yourself then your out of guidelines request will probably be denied.)
When requesting a transfer please give your FAG contributor number AND how are you related to the individual. Please use the EDIT tab on the individual memorial page to request transfers. Also, permission is hereby granted to copy and reuse pictures of any grave marker that I have taken and posted on this site as long as they ARE NOT posted to a for profit site such as Ancestry.com.

Thanks. I'll keep looking. Never know when I'll get the lead I need to find him. Walking cemeteries photographing was how I got started adding records to Findagrave. Been there done that. Have to tell a lot of people the same thing you told me. But it never hurts to ask. Thanks again for at least answering my query.

To "TheOldChief" from an even older chief. Thank you for all the memorials that you have created and placed on Find-A-Grave. And especially for handling my edits. May you experience "Fair Winds and Following Seas".

We are family. My husband's grandfather, Lester Darbyshire is Opal's father.

Ok. I was wondering if I could ask you to write a small bio.
*She completed 4 years of college at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. She was a school teacher at the county school.*
Also, if you could move the photo of her up to the very top of her with her son Willis working with the blocks. It is an antique photo. Very beautiful.
Thank you so much.

I understand but if she is not related to you then I didn't figure you would mind. Thanks Diane
Donna Gerdes. Could you please transfer her to me. She was my cousin. I am working on connecting my family. Thanks Diane

I am looking to contact Steven Peter. We have a common ancestor Claribel Elizabeth Oldfield Peter, my father's first cousin. (Donald Robert Oldfield)

Mary Pace was my great grandmother, I want to add her other family members, her daughters etc......but don't know how to do that. A family history of sorts as well. Thanks.
