I have researched family genealogy for more than 40 years.

I think that findagrave is a wonderful resource, and most of its contributors are considerate of each other.

RE: Death date for Floy Haywood
Tony,
I photographed 100% of the graves in Zion Cemetery several years ago and revisited a few new ones a couple of months ago and never saw a marker for Floy Haywood. There is a crude concrete one almost certainly for his older sister Zada who predeceased him, so it's likely that there would have been one for him as well. That said, a crude marker (or even a better one) could have been destroyed by now.

I didn't go looking specifically for Floy (didn't take note of your request before going), but I think it's likely that there's no marker. I expect that he's buried there in one of the numerous unmarked graves, however, as other family members are there.

Kind regards,
Ray

Hello Tony, Just visited the William H. Shelton
Cemetery, and the memorial stones we repaired are still
together, although they are getting harder to read,
because of there age.

Hi Tony, Thank you for your edits, I am going to accept your edit but changing date of death per funeral home records and obit show it to be 5/11/1938 instead of 5/12/1938. Holler if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks, Shane

Thanks so much for taking the time to find and photograph Mark's grave. I've never been to Memorial Park's mausoleum and I will stop by next time I'm in Tulsa.

Death date for Floy Haywood
Tony,

Your memorial for Floy Haywood (Find A Grave Memorial# 116516442) indicates he died on 2 Mar 1919, but I just saw a 1920 Census sheet in which he is listed as alive and with his parents on 8 Jun 1920. What information did you rely upon for the earlier death date?

Kind Regards,

Ray Richardson
