I have been researching my family for more than 20 years. I have found cemeteries to be an wonderful resource. This site has helped me in the past and I would like to help others in the same way. I have a lot of pictures to add. Surnames I am currently working on are: Bidwell, Condon, Fletcher, McIntyre, Guess, Diamond, Castner, Wellman, Hall, Mullen, Petrokonis, Aguayo ,Flores, VanThyne, Cook, Bassett, Clum, Hirsch, Martin, Sullivan, and Turnbough. If we all work together we can make a difference.|
To know thy past is to know thy self.

Thank you for your help, and I do agree, that uniform is not U. S. Navy. I will continue my search or the missing Seabee. Judi

I have a long list of names of members of the 58th Seabees (58th Naval Construction Battalion) from the 58th Seabees Cruise Book - "addresses unknown". Carl Auer is on this list. He would have been in Company A (Surnames A-D), along with my dad Fred Adler, as well as Ables, Ahlersmeyer, Barkhymer, Court, and Doolan. His memorial says he served in World War II - was he in the Navy? I'm writing my dad's biography for the family and including his Navy history, buddies and acquaintances. My dad was watching over Jimmy Ahlersmeyer, a 16-year-old whose mother had just commit suicide and his father deserted the family. The Seabees became his family. There are lots of stories...Judi

I think we may be descendants from a Mayflower passenger Samuel Fuller (son of Edward) through many generations down to Eunice Fuller Howd b. 1780-1819 and Samuel Howd 1779-1862. Their daughter was Polly Howd Hill 1800-1861 who had Belinda Hill- married to our William. Have you researched this? You can email me at email@example.com.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this photo. William McIntyre is my 3X Grandfather, 2X Grandfather John W. McIntyre, Great-Grandfather Carl McIntyre, Grandfather Gerald McIntyre and Father Daniel (living). It's so much fun doing genealogy, and I appreciate all your efforts. I have a better photo of his gravestone that I took in 2006; I will try to get it uploaded soon.
Would you please respond to me through my e-mail. Hstbuff@aol.com
I tried to reach you but it keeps bouncing back.
I have a lot more to share.

Helen Minnie Ira was the daughter of Marshall J Ira & Mary Jane McKey. She married twice
Leslie William Hughes 4 Nov 1923 Los Angeles Co. divorced and then married Paul L Geyer after 1954. SHE is the descendent of Mary Harrison who was wife of Deputy Sheriff Elias Charles McKey who later became a doctor. I'm working on my Harrison line of which Mary Harrison, I have been following out. I do know who her father and grandfather were as I am from her grandfather's line.
I hope this explains more of what you want.
Helen was born 14 May 1902 in Severy, Greenwood Co. Kansas and died 13 April 1970 Salem, Marion Co.Oregon. Buried on the 17 April Willamatte National Cem. 693684

Thanks for the pic in Cherry Hill. Was there anything legible on the stones? Or did you find the location from cemetery records?
HI, I have transferred over your 3 requests. On Mary's daughter, I did not find the entry. But, that doesn't mean anything. Maybe the family didn't have the money to purchase a stone. Good luck on your quest!!
