I'm just a poor country lawyer who enjoys geneaology as a hobby. I do this in my small amount of spare time, which seems to come in spurts. I am not trying to win some kind of award for most memorials or anything. My pet peeve is ACCURACY and trying not to make duplicates. Remember, sometimes all because it is engraved in stone doesn't mean it is accurate.
If you send me a request for a correction, etc., please be patient. I am very busy at my real world job, and I seem to be able to do this in spurts, so I will get to it when I can.

JoAnne Cox Burton Flusche

I did a little more research and she was married in Mar 1953 to a Charles William Burton, Jr. in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They had 4 children.
JoAnne was the daughter of John Maynard Cox and Henriette Marie Woodhouse. She had an older sister, Jacqueline Mae Cox who married a Corbett.
JoAnne and Charles returned to Texas to raise their children. In 1959 they were living in Port Arthur, Texas. In August 1970, she is listed as Mrs. James Flusche living at 2823 Texas Blvd., Texarkana, Texas. In 1975 she is living in Dallas Texas. Her death certificate states "divorced" and she is listed as Joanne Flusche. A man listed as Jim Flusche provided some information on her death certificate. Her death was recorded by the Social Security department in February 1976 in Virginia.

RE: Joanne Cox Burton Flusche
Good question. I cannot find either parent buried near her. Maybe there are children that lived or are still living nearby.

Joanne Cox Burton Flusche
Hello again Mike -
I was doing some research and have found the following regarding the Joanne Flusche headstone from Holy Cross Cemetery in Texarkana:

JoAnne was born 25 Sept 1930 in Jefferson Co., Texas. Her father: John Maynard Cox. Her Mother: Henrietta Marie Woodhouse. She died 12 Oct 1975 in Terrell, Kaufman Co., Texas. She was buried 20 Oct 1975. Her first husband was Charles William Burton, Jr. They were married in 1953 in Virginia. Her second husband was James Flusche.

Maybe this will help someone else someday.

Joanne Flusche memorial

Can you give me any information about this person? I am also a Flusche and have researched the Flusche family for almost 30 years but I cannot place her. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

Hi Mike, I too am a part time genealogist. I have only recently gotten into this "Find a Grave".

Thank you so much for memorializing my Dad, Clarence Garrison and my grand parents Louis and Helen Cigainero.

I do request that you allow me to manage these three and I would be happy to manage any of the Cigaineros that you would allow me to. I want to show the family links and I want to add some pictures.

Thank you for all the work you have put into this project. It is fascinating!

I am sure you must be kin to Pat Lusk. I went to school with him back in the 50's.

Donald Clark Grave

Thank you for photographing the grave of Donald Alton Clark at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Texarkana, and that of his wife, Mary Katherine Clark. Donald was my father's half brother. All the best to you.
