I am a Retired Navy Senior Chief Corpsman. I live "Deep in the Heart" of Texas and enjoy this part of my life VERY much. I found this site while looking at Arlington National Cemetery's web site.

I am happy to find (hopefully)and photo your family members' resting places.

RE: Hey there!
Guatemala?! Wow! That's pretty neat! I haven't traveled too much, what's it like there? There's nothing too new in my world, but it feels like a lot for the fact that my baby is now 2 1/2 and a huge personality shift is now here! It can be tiresome, but very worth it for those sweet moments and the wonderment I see in her eyes when she sees something new! How are you doing out there? Miss Texas at all? :-P

RE: Andreas
I will! :)

I'm a Southerner true and true and the stars and bars represent a Southern heritage more than just the hot topic of slavery. Everyone even the Native Americans owned slaves but they're never made to be villains. That was the nature of the world then. My great x4 grandparents owned a plantation and I don't curse them, they're my blood and a product of the times. Thank you for honoring Andreas I appreciate it. Too often Confederate soldiers are not given their respect. They were brave and had valor as well.

Thank you so much for looking! That is definitely a bummer I was hoping I could see his place of rest. I don't think any of his children are buried there if you can't find the last name of Kowald in the records. His wife is buried in New Braunsfel. I have his Confederate military records on, at least I have something to remember him by.

RE: Hello Jeanne
Oh I didn't know that, I put it in a while ago, if you fill it I will be most greatful! I eventually want to make my way down there and put a German flag up, CSA Battle flag and a Texan flag, that would be cool!

RE: Hello Jeanne
I'm well thank you! I've been looking at my Polish side for info on find a grave and have seen a lot! I would like to visit their stones soon since they are in my mom's home town 3 hrs away. I live in Houston and I travel most of Texas but have no plans for victoria...if you could refill that photo request I would be grateful! I found out he was a musician in the calvary through fold 3 .com, and that he joined at age 22! :)
