|Ginger Smith||RE: Georgia DeVotie Pittman|
Thanks! I have talked with several people about her and the family recently. She was our minister's second wife, First Baptist, Columbus, GA. I couldn't remember the connection. Are you from the Griffin, GA area? She started the DAR there, from what I have been told. They have more data about her and the family.
|Kim Self Hughes||Obituary for John Lewis Sinback|
Thank you so much for posting the obituary for John Lewis Sinback on his memorial page. But, can you tell me which newspaper it was published in and the date of publication (for my sources)? Thanks so much if you can help with this.
His wife, Willie Cooper Sinback, was a cousin.

Please contact me about this family. Are you related to them? If so, FBC, Columbus, GA needs to know. I am chair of the history committee and these are descendants of Dr. James H DeVotie, one of our outstanding pastors. Thank You!

Find A Grave Memorial# 65423280
Possibly one of these may have been meant to be for the infant child of the same name?
But the photos are of the same gravestone.
One 65423280 contains the parents and siblings of Lucy Meadows Haynes, the 2nd one 113169457 contains the husband and children of Lucy Meadows Haynes.
Possiblly the two could be combined to include ALL the information. And one could be deleted or redone to cover the infant child, with the same name.
Not complaining, your work on Find A Grave is very much appreciated. Would just be good if there was no duplication and all the info was in one record.

The wrong parents are attached to this Find A Grave site. His parents are Henry Thomas Hancock (1854-1930) and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Marshall Hancock (1863-1931). (Mollie is buried in Concord , GA, we have not found out where. This is my Great Grandmother's family. Please remove. Thank you
|Sylvia Malone||Leonidas Lee Hand|
I'm confused. There are two memorials #52738812 for Leonidas Lee Hand at Oak Hill Cemetery and #62503661 for Lee Hand at Senoia City Cemetery. They both list Coral Moses Hand #34165026 as spouse and Charles Lee Hand #62503833 as son. The memorials for Coral Moses Hand and Leonidas Lee Hand show burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials for Lee Hand and Charles Lee Hand show burial at Senoia City Cemetery. The picture of gravestone shows all 3 family members, but where?
Hope you can help me with this as they are in my family tree.
|Maureen Keillor||Saletha Leake in Oak Hill|
I'll bet you never thought you'd be taking a picture of my daughter's fiance's 4th great-grandmother when you took that picture of Saletha Leake!
Thanks for all your hard work on findagrave - you never know when it's going to help someone!
Hope all is well with you. One day we'll meet up down there in Griffin!

Could you please contact me? I have been helping George's younger half-sister with her family tree. She didn't know about her half-siblings until recently. She didn't grow up with her father and is up in years and would really like to know more about her family as she never married. She is also hoping to see a photo of her father, James.

Dear Ms. Young,
I wanted to say hello and thank you for the nice memorial to William O. Jones. He is the brother of my great grandfather, James Hiram Jones 1866-1935. I am seeking to link all the memorial sites together and I was wondering if you would be willing to transfer William O. Jones' site to me. I would greatly appreciate it. Also I am seeking descendants of this family that might have documents, photos, etc. Can you help me with this as well? Thanks so much, Pat
