Bio and Links
Bio Photo I descend from two generations of funeral home accountants, so it was no surprise that I later married the funeral home owner's son, a widely known funeral director and mortician. At one time, his family owned five funeral homes in south Mississippi.

When I was a small child, I remember walks with my Daddy in Rosehill Cemetery, as he took my hand and taught me the proper way to walk around the graves. Occasionally, he would stop at one of the graves and tell me about the life of the resident. To this day, I continue his tradition of placing flowers at the graves of the same family members we visited on holidays.

My mother taught me to love history and opened the world of genealogy to me. When I came across Find A Grave, I knew it was the perfect medium to capture my love of cemeteries, history, and genealogy. I particularly enjoy walking these cemeteries, taking pictures to preserve for the next generation, and sometimes feeling the same peace I felt when my Daddy took my hand and walked beside me.

I do not know if you are kin to this lady or not but I am kin to her. Her brother was Angelo M. Ford, my great great grandfather. It is always nice to find my kin folks on here!

RE: Pauline Frishman Brod
Thank you for updating Pauline's memorial. Regarding sources for her maiden name, I have several. Here are the two most relevant:

Pauline Frishman married Ben Brod, 13 April 1908 in Adams County, Mississippi. (Adams County, Mississippi, Marriage Records [White] 15:081, Brod-Frishman, 13 June 1908); Circuit Clerk's Office, Natchez.

When Marx Frishman died 4 February 1944 at New Orleans, Louisiana, his obituary named "Mrs. Benjamin Brod, Jackson, Miss.," as one of his surviving sisters. ("Marx Frishman's Funeral Conducted," /Times-Picayune/, New Orleans, La., 5 February 1944, page 4, col. 7.)

Thank you again for adding her maiden name to her memorial.

Would like to contact your friend
Hi Caroline, you took a photo of Magnolia Strickland Carley who was my great great grandmother -

You mentioned that her parents were NJ Strickland and Mary F. Gray and that this information was provided by Martha Parker. I, and many others, have long searched for any information regarding NJ. Would you please share her contact information, or provide her my contact information? A great many of my family members are buried in that cemetery.

My contact info is:
Greg Cox

If she is interested, I'm son of James O. Cox III, son of Mildred Carley Cox, daughter of Edmond Eugene Carley, son of Magnolia E. Strickland Carley.

Thank you,
Greg Cox

RE: William H. Becker, Jr.
I just remember that from his dying. He and my grandmother Geneva Moreton Becker donated their bodies to the University of Missouri. They supposedly were in the same "class," having died somewhat close in time to one another. Once the university was done with their bodies, they gave the ashes to my mom and her siblings. My mother has Alzheimer's and couldn't fill me in, but I bet my aunt can. I'll see what I can find out.

Thank-you. Years ago while digging through a huge collection of photos & newpaper clippings, I noticed my parents had several of Patsy's parents engagement announcement, news clippings, and photos. They told me they attended their wedding, and paid visits having recently married themselves. Dad's mother & Patsy, Lisa, Louana, and Lindy's maternal grandmother were indeed sisters. So indeed we share a common set of great-grandparents. Thanks again...
