Bio Photo Hello, Teresa and I have been friends for years but only in the last couple of years did we discover our "unnatural" obsession with cemeteries. Our families think we are nuts and maybe we are but we LOVE being able to help people connect with their loved ones who have passed on. We think that Find A Grave is one of, if not THE best site for family researchers. Each memorial, if you are lucky, has the deceased name, birth and death dates, place of birth and death, place of burial, parents, children, siblings, and can help complete someones family tree. It helps loved ones who live thousands of miles away to be able to see the headstone and/or final resting place of their ancestors. We have made it our goal to find, document and photograph each and every cemetery in Choctaw Co. MS. (where we live), the ones that are known and especially the ones that are abandoned and forgotten. It doesn't matter how far back in the woods we have to hike, nor the millions of virgin thorns we seem to attract, all the mud, water, chiggers, snakes, rain, snow, sleet or hail.......ok maybe not so much the last five things. We are dedicated to our "passion" and plan to venture out to other counties that need our attention. God Bless all of our fellow "Find A Gravers" for all that you are doing for Find A Grave.

Note: In light of some "negative" messages we have received lately I would like to make something clear.............Teresa and I are NOT in this for the number or memorials added, or the number of memorials managed, or the number of photo requests fulfilled or the number of photos we take. We are also NOT in this for the credit or the recognition. We are in this simply and more importantly to help people who are doing their family history, to find their ancestors to help complete their family tree for themselves and their future family. We are also in this to make sure that people who have passed on have something to show they were here, their life was important and they are remembered..........When we post a memorial or a photo we go to the cemetery they are listed in and make POSITIVELY SURE they are where they are listed. So many times we have photographed someone's headstone only to find out they are listed in the wrong cemetery. If someone lives out of town, state, or even the country and go to the cemetery that their loved one's are listed in, only to be disappointed because they can't find their stone anywhere. We have also noticed that sometimes even the obituary is wrong, so we never list someone until we have gone to the cemetery and checked it out for ourselves. We take a lot of pride in what we are doing and it is important to us that we do it right. When we get an e-mail or message of thanks it makes all our hard, but very rewarding work, worth it........

Trotter White Photo reguest
Pam and Teresa,
Thank you so very much for the wonderful picture you took of Trotter's stone.

A photo where you can actually read the stone is such a valuable piece of information that so many photographers fail to recognize. You did a fantastic job with the photo and I can never thank you enough.

Take care,
Alana Morgan

Old New Hope Cemetery
Wow! So glad you found the Old New Hope Cemetery. I was there many years ago and could not find it again. Thanks so much! Did you get my directions to the Sledge Family Cemetery? Thanks again!

RE: Old Pine Bluff #2
I was with Sally when she made the pictures at that cemetery. I can't imagine what happened to the stones.

Jonathan Joshua Garret/Garrett
If you read the shorter posting, it explained that his real name had two t's on Garrett, but the old gravestone only had one t. I posted him both ways so that he could be found either way, and the reader could then look for the long bio. If you are upset that it is posted both ways, you can contact the management and ask them to remove one of them, but I will not do it myself. I wanted it that way, and did it intentionally. I do not understand why you do not approve with it, but you can deal it with the management.
