West Cemetery
My GGFather George Henry Wagnon lived on Wagnon Mill Rd in Morgan County. I live in Texas but assist cousins from all over in their genealogy searches. I am a cousin of Mary Hanson Parker of Newnan Georgia.
Thank you for any assistance you may be able to give. Joel Wagnon

Trying to locate West Cemetery in Morgan County. Samuel Skidmore and two of his wives are interred there. My question is "Where is it located?" If you know where West Cemetery is, would you Please! tell me.

RE: Minnie Tuggle
Find a Grave is having some issues during their upgrade. My apologies you didnít receive this information before through the 6th editing option "Suggest any other correction or addition" although this is more than I sent before.

1st document I see showing Tuggle is her maiden name: On the 1900 Census, Minnie Tuggle is the 7 year old daughter of John Tyler and Emma Tuggle. Source: Year: 1900; Census Place: Decatur, De Kalb, Georgia; Roll: 192; Page: 20B; Enumeration District: 0013; FHL microfilm: 1240192.
2nd document I see showing Tuggle is her maiden name: On the 1910 Census, Minnie Tuggle is the 16 year old daughter of John Tyler and Emma Tuggle.
Year: 1910; Census Place: Decatur, Dekalb, Georgia; Roll: T624_184; Page: 25B; Enumeration District: 0019; FHL microfilm: 1374197.
3rd document I see showing Tuggle is her maiden name: In the Record of Marriages, Book U, 1914-1914, Georgia, Marriage Records From Select Counties, 1828-1978 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Operations, Inc., 2013 from original data: County Marriage Records, 1828Ė1978. The Georgia Archives, Morrow, Georgia, "Miss" Minnie Tuggle married Mr. E.F. Tuggle had a marriage license issued and were married in Fulton County, GA on October 15th, 1914.
On the 1920 Census, Minnie Tuggle is the 26 year old wife of Edwin F (He was called Frank) Tuggle. Year: 1920; Census Place: Decatur, De Kalb, Georgia; Roll: T625_249; Page: 43A; Enumeration District: 13; Image: 213.
This is more than you might need but in case you want this for your own research, I want you to have it easily. Thank you for being careful. I relate to your thinking of provable details.

RE: Josephine Thrasher Overby
Not direct. Josephine's father Jackson M. Thrasher is my great grand father's (Early Wyatt Thrasher)brother. All linked on F A G. I am chairman of the Thrasher Family Association and it's main genealogist.See our web site:

Josephine Thrasher Overby
Didn't complete my message. The Barton/Frances Oates Thrasher Bible records, which I have mentioned before, say under Marriages: Jackson M. Thrasher and Susan Samsom was married on the 14th of November 1843. I accept this record.

Josephine Thrasher Overby
Hi Joe, Josephine's mother was first identified in Dr. Marion Thrasher's "A History of the Thrasher Family, etc" 1895. and was based on letters he received. The letter he quoted was from a D. W. Scott, a Thrasher descendant & cousin. Marion Williams was given in the letter. There has been NO information found about Marion Williams. Recently the entire book was "up-dated" as it is full of errors.

RE: Josephine Overby
Josephine's grandfather, Barton Thrasher reared his family in Clarke Co. although now the area is Oconee Co. He had a huge plantation as the Census and slave schedules show. The family graveyard where Jackson Thrasher (Josephine's father) grew up is near the graveyard. Jackson died just before the 1850 census, but all family records show that even though he married, he did not leave the area. See "Bishop, Georgia" by Celestea Gentry Sharp and Our Thrasher Heritage, by Dorothy S. Pruett. I don't any reason to believe that she was born elsewhere. THanks

Josephine V. THrasher
Hi Joe, Josephine's birth date is from the Barton & Frances Oates Thrasher Bible. A copy is recorded in the publication, Our Thrasher Heritage" by Dorothy S. Pruett 1986. The actual Bible belongs to my first cousin in Gainesville, Fl. I transcribed the Bible information for Pruett. It includes her father and brother as well. Josephine's birth date is listed as 9 September 1844.

Myrtle Ree Ramsey Board
Hello, I think that "Ree" was probably the child of "Maggie," Roscoe's first wife. In checking the dates, I tend to think this is more likely. Roscoe and Lucy married in 1908 and Ree was born in 1900. Here is her Find A Grave Memorial# 95645308. Thanks, Diane

Hi Joe,

Thank you for all the work you have done in this cemetery and others! I have deep roots in this area of GA and your work has greatly helped add to my family tree.

I wanted to let you know that I've completed a bio for William C Sanders, at least for now, and thought you might want to take a look. Many of the pallbearers & escorts mentioned in the obit have been linked back to some of your memorials. William's memorial # is 54912768. His wife, Rebecca Hulsey, is my cousin.

Best regards,
Debbie Hulsey Zouras
