I have had a passing interest in family geneology for a long time, but only got into it more in the last few years. |
I am interested in Rosenthal, Schechinger, Sondag, Book, & Heller. My extended family came from Germany in the 1800's & lived in western Iowa.
I am also interested in Carson in Chicago & Goddette/Martin in Vermont.

Patty, Thank you for transferring the memorial of Margaret Ellen McCormick. I am very impressed by how many photographs of stones you have taken and how many memorials you are managing.

I'm writing to you because I noticed that you posted information on Edward Lenstrom's gravesite. I am going through old papers from my Mom's estate and game across papers from 1918 belonging to Edward Lenstrom. I would guess that his family members would be interested in having them. I know that he lived in Salem (Polk County), but can't find any reference to Lenstrom family in the area. The papers include communications with the War Department, including a letter from his father requesting his release from military service so that Edward could assist managing the family farm. Do you have any suggestions on how I can track down descendents of Edward Lenstrom?

I wanted to thank you for posting my Great Grandmothers tombstone up. I am searching for my Grandmothers ashes that were sent to Effie in the 1940s. her name was Verna Ruth Waldow (maiden name would have been Corder or sound like it) do you happen to know of the family? Any information would be very helpful…my Grandmother Verna passed away when my father was 4 and never knew much about that side of the family. Thank you
