I had a dream the other night a delivery truck pulled up to the house and was unloading some huge boxes and crates, four in all. I am watching as they are being loaded into the house and then I saw PARR Cemetery stamped on the side of one of the crates. My friend John was just about to open it and I screamed "Don't open it"... and I woke up!|
I was born in Ottumwa, Iowa raised in Munterville, Iowa then moving to Blakesburg, Iowa and on to Muscatine, Iowa. Find a Grave has helped me bring my family who lived before me together. My Great Aunt Dr. Stella Pearson, D.O. (Aunt Teddy) enjoyed going to the cemetery to clean up, decorate, and tell me the stories about each family member we visited. I have found so many of my family because of our early trips to the cemetery. I just wished I had taken notes when she was telling the stories of family history. I put in a request for a picture of my father's grave over three and a half years ago and no one ever bothered to take a photo for me. Four hundred miles later I had his picture and many more. Today my passion is to fill as many photo requests as I possibly can for those who need that last family photograph. I am getting good at finding a grave and the walks are wonderful!
I have entered several cemetery records from online sources on snow or rain days so if I have any of your family no matter the relationship I will transfer just ask me and I will make it happen. Please provide your contributor number.
If you want multiple monuments photographed, please take the time to create a memorial for each person rather than attach a message to one request asking for multiple photos.

Thanks! I'm trying to figure something out. I have an ancestor named Eunice Francis Castle Bramble whose second husband was Paul Mooney and they had a son named Jackson. I'm trying to find out more information about Jackson. I wonder if it's just a coincidence or if they're connected somehow.

Hi, Do you know who his parents were? Thanks, Sharon Rogers
|whitepaper||RE: Benjamin Westlake|
Benjamin Westlake’s tombstone is in Horseheads’ Maple Grove Cemetery. According to what I have found, Benjamin and his wife Sarah Truesdell Westlake were initially buried in Westlake Cemetery in Horseheads. The cemetery was moved in the first part of the 20th century to the Maple Grove Cemetery. There are about two dozen stones in one area of the Maple Grove that were moved from Westlake.
I have contacted Glen Carter several times about the location of Benjamin and Sarah’s tombstone, with no result. If you have any further questions about Benjamin or Sarah or the cemeteries, I will do my best to answer them.

Just cleaning out my profile and wanted you to know that Gary Freese (#47336434) is Logan County, IL historical society genealogist. He's the guy to ask if you've got any questions about your 4th great-grandfather, Mr. Turley.

Hi Christine; I am helping with a project to identify the last resting places of our soldiers/sailors from Vermont, that served in the Civil War. I have found two from Scott County that you have contributed Find A Grave photo's to ( Benjamin Gould & Fletcher Putnam.) There may be others I haven't discovered yet. I would like to ask your permission to use them on the Vermont Civil War data Base? (www.vermontcivilwar.org" You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration on this.

Hi! I found a document online that mentions a Henry Tuley? (enlarge) here: http://www.civilwaronthewesternborder.org/content/tender-service-martin-white
I didn't know if this person might be of your family since my ancestor, Martin White, lived close to your ancestor, James Turley and both came from the same county in Kentucky. Thot I might ask. If not, I'll continue looking.
|Allan Wenzel||RE: Henrietta Barns|
I think that was the only photo I have of her. I have some of Henrietta's children when they were young. I know I have several of the twins at various stages of life. I've placed several for Pleasant's siblings. I'm working on my Van Cleave family at the moment. I'll go through the albums again after I get the basic photos posted.
