I WILL HONOR MOST TRANSFER REQUESTS. I definitely transfer out of guidelines. Please ask.
If I am related to the person being requested I may choose to keep the memorial. To request a transfer go to the memorial and click on the Edit button. Then choose the option "Suggest any other correction or addition". In the box that comes up simply request a transfer - you do not need to explain to me how you are related or why you want the memorial. If you list multiple memorials in the same request be sure to include a link to all memorials or at least the memorial #s, full names, and dates. If you request all memorials for a last name ... i.e. all Smiths ... be careful as you may get a LOT of memorials.
I no longer post my email on my profile page. It is gravehunting @ glenda.com (without the spaces, of course).

You are welcome. You can also call Orchard Hills to confirm the burial is there if you aren't sure.
I will add his parents if you give me the names and Find a grave memorial ID"S

Just posted the pictures. The stones are indeed righted, although I guess washing the stones is extra. ;-) I tried brushing off what dirt I could.
You'll have to tell me what eventually worked in getting them to fix them! I went by the fairly nearby stones of our house's first owner that we have been trying to get them to right...and they are still fallen over.

I don't know that I'm the prime picture taker, I don't do it like I used to. I was the only one for a year or so, then all of a sudden a bunch of people started, so I just backed off. Everyone was going to the same cemeteries. I don't really do much in the way of photo requests any more. I will still go to a cemetery and take pictures, then I might stumble across a request. If the section is listed, I'm more apt to check it out.

I did not call the cemetery office to make sure that the plot information was correct. If you want to give them a call and if the information is different let me know and I would be happy to go check out new information. Won't be doing any searching for a few days though. We have received a significant snowfall today!

Hi, Glenda. I went by that plot today and those two stones are still down. I know that they have fixed stones in the past, but our experience with three stones that we would like fixed (the person who built...or had our house built in 1885 and his two wives) has been similar to yours; they are very encouraging when you talk to them, but it doesn't actually get done. To be fair, it is a huge cemetery to maintain and I think with the budget / personnel that they have to do it, they are probably just fighting to stay even.

I have just joined Find a Grave.
And was looking at your request for help finding Sarah Kent in Byfield cemetery.
I believe we have a Sarah Kent here. But I'm not sure if it is the right person.
The one we have listed is Sarah N. Kent with a birth day of 3/24/1816 and death date of 6/22/1891.
We also have listed a Sarah J Kent but her dates are 1831-1894. And I don't believe either one of these ladies husband was James Kent.
I'll photograph their stones for you soon.

|Jill Paszczuk||RE: Cowles photo request|
I found a listing in Berlin records for a large number of people with surname Cowles. I did find a Rachel DOD: June 27, 1797 at age of 61. It says she is the wife of Asahel. Could this be it? I can go to the cemetery one day this week and take any pictures you'd like. Please go to www.hale-collection.com/info-berlin-ct-cemeteries and review Ledge Cemetery for list of people buried there.
|treerpgmo||RE: Cowles in Center Cemetery|
My COWLES descent begins with my 8th Great-Grandparents John HUBBARD (1693-1778) & Hannah (COWLES) HUBBARD (1693-1777) of Hatfield, Hampshire Co, Massachusetts. Hannah was born in East Hartford, Hartford Co, Connecticut the daughter of Timothy COWLES (1666-1736) & Hannah (PITKIN) COWLES (1666/67-1737).
|MissingHim||Re: Jesse Jones|
I received the maiden name of Ellis for Jesse from her daughter-in-law. The obit of the one daughter does state Ashhurst. The daughter-in-law insists her husband's mother was an Ellis.
