RE: Mary Hoffman Koch Pracher
Thank you. That is what I do also. We are on our way back to California. We had been in Rock Island and were looking for my husband's ancestors and found a bunch in the cemetery. The office had given us a list of those buried in the Block, Lot and Mary Pracher was on the list. After researching, I found that she was a Koch and had remarried after the death of Mr. Koch and now was a Pracher. At the time we were retaking gravestone photos, we were not looking for Mary. I don't think she had a separate headstone. I don't remember it. The large upright headstone was really hard to read but I don't remember if there was other stuff written on one other side or not. I do know that two sides did not have anything written on it. I was hoping that if you lived close by that you could just run over there again and double check for me. You have done a wonderful job of taking photos in the cemetery. Again thank you for doing what you have done. It was a big help. We found a bunch of Weavers there and those are the folks we came to find plus a Rebecca Rupley. I had been looking for Rebecca for years and found her there in the Chippiannock Cemetery. Who would have thought. Linda

Alfred Hunt inquiry
Hi,
Do you know if there are any unmarked graves at the Alexis cemetery? I know my ancestors lived in Alexis in 1870, but my 2nd great grandfather died in 1874 (possibly April 11) somewhere in that area, maybe Spring Grove Township if not Alexis. No records of exist that I can find. His name was Alfred J Hunt.

Thanks - I appreciate the photos you posted of Jacob and Rebecca Price headstone. Alfred's wife Mary married their son Henry to help raise the 5 little boys she was left with after Alfred's death.
