My interest in genealogy goes back to the days where information had to be gleaned from dusty books found in the corners of libraries. The Internet has greatly expanded my searching capabilities.|
The family names that I am primarily interested in are Sanders, Kirkpatrick, Hunt, Froman, Gist, Taylor, Combs, McPherson, Adams & Haddock.
Feel free to use headstone or personal pictures that I've posted on memorials -- no royalties required.
If you have any additional information that you would like added, let me know. I generally process edits within 1-2 days. You will be cited as the source of the additional info. If you would rather not be cited, please provide me with an independent source that I can include. Thank you for your cooperation.
I'm not interested in "collecting memorials." I take pictures and create memorials to make sure that everyone in my corner of the world is remembered in some small way. I'm happy to transfer memorials to relatives/friends who want to manage them, so please ask if I've created a memorial for someone you'd like to take care of. Your relationship to them isn't an important factor to me.
Greenwood Cemetery (Renton) in progress. I took a sample batch of a thousand or so photos and discovered many, many undocumented memorials so I'm attacking it systematically. If I've created a memorial, I have the photo. If you need it sooner rather than later, just send me an edit and I will attach it immediately. Thanks for your patience.
Completed Cemetery Projects:
-- Cedar Lawns (Redmond)
-- Kirkland Cemetery (Many unmarked graves in this cemetery. Many stones very deteriorated.)
-- Redmond Community Cemetery
-- Sunset Hills (Bellevue)
-- Hillside (Issaquah)
-- Upper Hillside (Issaquah)
Note re Kirkland Cemetery: This is a heavily treed cemetery and many of the stones are covered in moss. If there is a particular stone that you would like re-photographed, feel free to let me know and I will see what I can do to clean up the stone.
Although I have marked a cemetery as done, new graves have most likely been added and I may have missed a few, despite my best efforts to be organized. If you need a photo, just ask and I'll do my best.

Thanks Mary - I just got the email on the decline and was coming to send you a note to clarify when I got the email that you had left this note.
Yes, Delno married 2 Ida's, so it's a good thing that they had different middle names. When he and Ida Rose divorced she moved back to NC. She and Stanley are Macon descendants - she was named for her paternal grandmother Ida Macon who married Henry Williams, and her mother Rosa Etta Gaddy who married George Herman Williams.
I certainly don't have a problem with Delno having links to both of his wives. I've requested a link to Ida Rose, I'll go back and make sure that there is a request for a link to Ida Mae - don't remember if I did that or not.
Thanks for your help and understanding.

I have done the update. Thank you for the photo. I have been busy on other projects, and haven't been able to go back and update my maps and data for the two Hillside Cemeteries.

I've transfered the memorials to you. I worked on the cemetery memorial project to build the memorials, so I'm not related to them.

You are welcome! I was looking through some of my memorial pages last night and came across some in WA State. One in particular brought a smile when I realized that my name was near the top for having contributed family information but it was your memorial page. I clicked on Mary D. at the bottom of the page and said to myself, "I know her!". :) So nice to work with nice people. I have some questions for you in a day or two about two-three of my relatives that passed in WA but I can't locate where they are interred. I'm in the midst of getting ready for a family after Christmas party today, but I'll be back in a day or two.
Have a nice day!
