We live in a small town in southeast Iowa and spend a lot of time in Graveyards and Cemeteries taking pictures, taking notes, just piecing the families together. Some of these Cemeteries are so old that there are not any other records of the people resting there. When these cemeteries go...so does that person's existence! We would like to thank all of you for your contributions to the preservation of these cemeteries.The peace and serenity found in these old cemeteries is our reward! If there is a memorial we have added, that is not in our family, we will consider a transfer of the memorial to you. Please use the Edit tab,(upper right hand corner of the memorial) Please do this on every memorial that you want transferred or a correction on and please include your ID number.|

If you happen to go back, could you do a search near this site:
Salem South Cemetery
Plot: S of N drive row 8
For her husband, Robert Walker Martin. He may have died around 1900. He had been living w/ his daughter, but then I find nothing for him. Possibly Quaker, but not sure if he was still practicing.
Thank you for all you do. Truly.

|James Clark||RE: sponsored your memorial for Frederick Hall.|
He was my grandfather and my only father figure. My father died when I was two. My mother, Louise Hall Clark, was forced to move the family into an apartment her parent's home. My three sisters and I grew up in there. It is the least I could do to honor him.

Someone has already posted this on Find A Grave as of 2009. You might want to delete yours since they put theirs on before you did. Just a suggestion.
|M L Sample||Roy Webster|
Thank you for linking Roy to his mother.

I appreciate all that you do with the creation of these memorials! It takes love and passion to do this work. Thank you for the prompt transfer today of my great grandparents for me to manage. I will take good care of them.
|Jane Middleton||John Kirkpatrick|
By the way the memorial is #38964973
|Jane Middleton||Photo of John Kirkpatrick grave|
I am wondering if there is a way to get a better photo of the grave of John Kirkpatrick in Gilmer Cemetery in Jefferson County, Iowa? The photo on the memorial does not show the first name, although the dates match John Kirkpatrick. I need this for a DAR application (s), and they are sticklers about authenticity. The cemetery is located on a farm in Jefferson County. Thanks.
