RE: Elizabeth Middelkoop
Could you give me that memorial # because every time I search for her mine is the only one that pops up so I don't know what to do?

Elizabeth Middelkoop
My Elizabeth is the correct spelling and more in depth because I am a direct descendant, as in great granddaughter. I didn't see one for her so I created it. The name Middelkoop changed to Middlekoop after they came to the US due to phonetics but the correct way is e before l as on all of the Dutch records but American records have it e after l.

RE: Della Dismuke
Her husband, George Walton Dismuke is buried at Santa Barbara Cemetery in Santa Barbara. Did you happen to see any other Dismuke family buried with Della?
Thanks, Don

Hi! can you remove Maria Filman as spouse? She does not belong to this Filman.

It has been common practice, nationwide to put the initial of the maiden name on tombstones The P on her stone stands for her maiden name which was Powell. Most of her documents say that her name is Margaret Powell no middle name,so if you prefer not to use her middle name just decline the edit. Her memorial is just fine as it is.

RE: Lillian Kozenek
Yes, she was married to a Huddleston (I think his name was William. I would have to check.) They had other children besides James.

RE: Lillian Kozenek
KOZENEK is the spelling I have for Lily, for Charles, for his brother Fred, his father, Josef, and his mother, Anna. For Charles alone, that spelling is on the US 1920 and 1940 Census, in US Public Records, on about 30 City Directory listings, on his SSDI and Washington Death records, and on his Washington marriage record in 1934 with Lily.

You will notice on that last record, her name is Lillian Jane KUC (sic). She was previously married to Stewart KEETCH, but I haven't found the record yet.

BTW, Lily's father, John W Ward is my second great-uncle, and in our family, his wife, Laura, would be considered our second great-aunt (albeit by marriage). So, Lily and her siblings are my cousins.

I think you misread the obit. It does NOT say that she was BORN in Ward, ND. It says she was "a former Ward resident" (true). It says she was "the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ward, pioneer residents of Ward County" (true).

John W Ward was born in 1872 in Big Creek, White, Indiana. On the US 1880 Census, he was still there and he married in White County in 1893. On the US 1900 Census he was in Chalmers Town, White County.
On the US 1910 Census he was in Kirkland, Ward, ND.

His wife, Laura, was born in 1873 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. On the US 1880 Census, she lived in Big Creek. She married John in 1893 in White County. In 1900, she was with him in Chalmers Town. On the US 1910 Census, she was with him in Kirkland, Ward, ND.

The pattern is the same for the first four children: Hilda, born in 1895 in Big Creek; Lily born in 1897 in Big Creek; Virgil born in 1899 in Big Creek; but Martha, born in 1901 in Monticello, White, Indiana. They all appear in White County, Indiana before the US 1910 Census. It was not until Thomas William was born on 10 Aug 1903, that one of their children was born in North Dakota. He was born in Kirkland, Ward County.

So, you see, I do know what I am talking about....These are my family members and I know alot about them. I would appreciate it if you would correct Lily's birth location back to Big Creek, White, Indiana.

When I find her marriage record with Stewart Keetch, I will let you know.
