Bio Photo BIG NEWS!!! I was flooded out of Baton Rouge and am now living in Broadway Virginia where i will continue my grave hunting. .. am always on the lookout for unusual names, have added quite a few that are the only one listed, which is hard to do on here.I will always do the edit, but do not write everybody to let them know I did..I get so many edit requests, and do not mind doing them at all...Thanks .Though I have listings in many states, most are within a days drive on my home.I really enjoy fulfilling photo requests, it is like a treasure hunt, and I like knowing I am helping a loved one connect in some small way.I love driving back roads and finding cemeteries in the middle of nowhere.I add veterans of most all the wars,as a small tribute to those that have shaped our country. But I have a special affinity for the guys of World War II.These soldiers are the reason today we are a free country and we are losing them at a rate of over 1100 a day.Take time out to thank them .And then there are the ones that reach out and for whatever reason touch me.I also seek any family last names, such as Cox,Cover,Vaughn.I usually enter the info directly from the grave marker, but will add any info requested. If any errors are found please let me know and I will correct.I do find such peace and love and sadness while walking these sites. Also every one of these I have entered I actually walked the cemetery. Therefore a little more personal to me. .I want to apologize for all my errors. When I first started entering graves 16 years ago, i wrote the info down and transferred it, many times it was raining or I just could not understand my writing. Later years I add from a picture usually. So please forgive my early attempts.

Oh, no!
Did you really leave Louisiana? That makes me sad. I don't know of any Lanclos in Virginia! Thanks for the photo of Jacqueline Lanclos James' memorial. I appreciate all the help you have given me.

Memorial # 140081600
Our genealogy society has been putting together research at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Scott, LA. In checking names (and entering those which had not been listed yet), I noticed your listing for Memorial # 140081600, Louis Simon, shows a DOB as 1882. In checking the photo of the tombstone added by "Louise", I believe the date to be 1889. Good luck with your continued research, J. Hernandez

I have a great pic to post here of Michael Clause that was posted on Facebook by his daughter-in-law. He's in his uniform and I think it would be great to post it here. maybe one of the grave marker can be removed so Ican add the pic? Thanks. He was deplayed in February of 1969 and by March he was killed. He left one son who is a great guy and now has 4 children. An amazing legacy to this young but not forgotten vet who never met his then unborn son.

RE: Transfer
Thanks Bobby, I appreciate it. Sadly, some do love their high numbers. If you're by that way again, stop & see the restoration that is starting to take place. We're fighting against Mother Nature & trying to slow her from taking anymore of our loved ones final resting place out into the Pamlico Sound.
