We are a Husband and Wife Team who live in Starke, Florida. We have a special hobby of visiting cemeteries and taking photos and researching our family trees. |
We combine this with tent camping and nature walks in State Parks. We find a cemetery that needs photos and a State Park nearby. We take photos in the morning and enjoy the park the rest of the day.
We only list photos we have taken, If no memorial is listed, we create one.
Our tree research is very extensive; and searching for more each day. We are researching Wise, Vickers, Weeks, Boggs, Tuggle, and many more.
We will delete, correct, add to or Transfer. We ask that to request a transfer that you know of the person or be related. It's our goal to transfer any family member or person, to someone that will remember them.
You may use our Headstone photos, Also please give us credit for the photo. We have copies of all the photos we have ever taken. Our photos are for your personal use only and may not be used for profit or be sold without permissiom. If the photo is a photo of a family member of mine, permission is denied unless permission is requested.
If you don't get an answer quickly to your e-mail, we may be on one of our trips. We usually answer all emails within one hour of receving it.
To the ones who say we do this for the numbers, This is a hobby we enjoy doing, We take our time and commitment very serious. We answer 40-50 edits per day and do photo request. We also help others in their search. This is secondary to our visit to Cemeteries to take photos.
To the ones who have no contact information, You are missing out! Need I say more!
This is a profile page for the Contributor and not a place to list all of Findagrave's guidelines. You can find them on the Help Page.

Do you know if Donald has a headstone or marker? And could you possibly take a picture of it? I'm going to need to verify his parentage somehow. I know my cousin but there is someone else attached as a parent other than my family. Now I will need to prove who he is or whatever you do now, I have no clue. If you know what I should do next, I would appreciate your help. Judy
I appreciate what you and your wife do. I'm not quite ready to take over any graves at the moment because I'm so swamped with taking care of my husband at the moment :) I think he may be related to you, his name is Anthony Lock. Out of curiosity, there is 1 grave in the Winterville church cemetery that there is no information on. I know that it is located near the cedar tree, off to the left a bit from the other graves...it's in the general vicinity of the Confederate soldier graves that are Webb's....this one in question would be a baby grave, it is nothing but a raised concrete slab that at one time had a green glass rocking cradle sitting on it. Do you by any chance have a photo of that grave? I WISH that I knew who was buried there, or who the infant belonged to, but sadly I do not. As a teenager, I literally "adopted" that grave...umm I lost a baby when I was 16 and umm the hospital sent it's remains to be incinerated with other medical waste...so...as part of my "grieving" process I began leaving flowers on the "unknown infant's" grave. I would clean the cradle of fallen leaves and rain and put it back on the grave. The last time I saw it, several years ago, the cradle had been broken.

Yes, Familysearch.org does have errors as such is the case of many other source that are used on Find A Grave. Even errors occur on headstones. Thanks. Michael...

Hi. I just made a find a grave account, but I have some information that you *might* want concerning some of the graves in this cemetery located in Holmes County, Florida.
1) Walter Kistner DOB July 19, 1925 DOD April 4, 2000 is my maternal grandfather who raised me. Now, I'm going to tell you about some more graves and the family connections that I have to them.
2) Thelma Cannon was born Thelma Music and is my grandfather's cousin. Her mother was Mamie Music and her father was Amos Music and both I believe are buried in the Bonifay City Cemetary.
3) Johnny Cannon is the youngest son of Thelma Cannon, and MY cousin. He sadly lost his life while on a family outing with 1 child and his pregnant wife...a lady's little boy got swept into the current of a river. Johnny worked for the Holmes County Sheriff's Department, and despite the risk to his own life, he jumped in to rescue the child. He managed to get the child into a passing boat before the currants swept him away. He was a great person, and that was life that was taken all too soon. The family is thankful that he saved the child, but we all still miss him.
I attended Winterville Assembly of God from the time I was 4 until I was 19 and moved away. I know a lot of things about many of the people buried there. If I can be of any help to you, please let me know.

Could you also please transfer Delores Evelyn Stauffer Barton? She is the daughter of George Dewey Stauffer. She was my aunt.
Thanks for all you do for us genealogists.
