Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a Southern gal with deep roots in the sandy coastal plains and red Piedmont clay of Georgia. I now live in North Carolina -- as did quite a few of my ancestors on their way to Georgia. I'm most interested in genealogy -- when not gardening -- particularly the families of Evans, Lee, Thorn, Rogers, Newton,Lanier, Burch and Dasher. Others too, but those occupy me now.

Lol Harrell
Good morning, Sue, do you know where Lol Harrel taught school and when, the library in Eastman has several old High School Annuals, thought I would look through them for anything about Lol Harrell, she was beautiful.

Mary Lou Burch
Sue, I also added Miss Mary Lou Burch's death certificate also, she was so highly thought of in Eastman, I recently found the Memorial Books from my parents and my baby brother's deaths, Miss Mary Lou signed each of these books, I sure wish I could remember meeting her. If you know of others who death certificates you are interested in, please let me know, I go home about 2 or 3 times a year, and I try to go by the Court House and ask for death certificates, a few at a time,

RE: Possible grave location for J R Vandgrift
As of 2007 there was no headstone for him, but I will run up there and see if there is an indention beside her just in case his grave was never marked.

My wife is kin to the Baldwins and close friend with Amy Massey Bell. I think I'll keep this one. I'll be glad to work with you on the links.

genealogy work
Sue, thank you for all that you and all that you share on findagrave and ancestry, I vaguely remember the Burch sisters who lived on College Street, as a little girl I always thought of their home as quite lovely and warm, we lived around the corner from them on Harrell Avenue, across from the elementary school.
