I live in Virginia and am happily married. I think that Find-A-Grave is a great resource and I have found many, many ancestors through this site. I want to keep the memory of my ancestors alive, for they live as long as we remember them. Whenever I am able, I will gladly add memorials of others and take photographs of headstones. If the information I have added is incorrect in any way, or if you would like me to transfer ownership, I will gladly do so. Please either message me or use the 'suggest a correction' box on the memorial page.

Mostly my interests lie in Kentucky, in Henry and Shelby counties. As far as paternal names go, I am looking for Blacks, Ethingtons, Stivers, Longs, and Moseharts.

Maternally, I am looking for Parkers, Poyners, Rileys, Hambys, Keys and Wilsons in Charleston, Missouri, and surrounding counties.

RE: Noble Hundley
Thank you for sharing Noble's story with me. My step-father was also in the Navy during World War II. He was a naval aviator who was in the same area as Noble (Tarawa, Battle of Philippine Sea etc.) and so was an uncle of mine (a Navy seaman, who also served as Noble did.) What's so amazing, even as sad as it is, is that you have Noble's story (he won't be forgotten.) The story you shared with me allows me to know about Noble (he's a real person, with a real story - he's not just a bunch of links.) He's worth reading about. That's also why I feel that you should share his story and put his picture on his memorial.

RE: Noble Hundley
The way I came across Noble's memorial is through his father's sister Viola Hundley Mahoney. Her son Carl Francis Mahoney is the father of my cousin Carl Francis Mahoney Jr.

I see where you live in Virginia. I too live in Virginia (Richmond.) It's great that you have the information about Noble that you do. Personally, I believe that the information you shared with me would be very interesting to others who view Noble's memorial. Also his picture would make the memorial even more personable. As to where he is buried, I would suggest using "buried at sea" rather than "buried overseas". As a former military person, one means buried in the ocean and the other means buried in a foreign country (and I know you know that.) LOL I'm also sure you just overlooked his information on his memorial as to his date of death.

I think it's great preserving family history as you do on find-a-grave. As you know, if each generation doesn't tell the story, the story gets lost. Thanks again for what you do.

Flora Villafane Memorial # 39059565
I am doing research on my wife's Villafane family - We have found twin sisters Flora Maria and Flora Vitalia Villafane born in 1935 - just wondering if you have anything further on this person or how you came about listing her.
Thank You

Robert Borders
I received this info from another member......

Robert Alexander Borders
In a flower on Robert's page, you indicated he is the son of G & H Borders. The G that was married to H is Robert's brother George F and the H is Hallie (Rice) Borders who was George's wife.

Robert Alexander Borders was the son of George W Borders and Elizabeth Blanford. It does get confusing as the younger George did name a son Robert but his middle initial was C.

I have submitted links to the memorials manager so that the information will show on his memorial page.

Just thought you might want to know.

Cathe a Day descendant
The inscription on Allice d. Vise's tombstone does not say "light" it says "sunshine".

I'm looking for the family of my great uncle Charles Harold Vise so am reading the inscriptions carefully and noted the error.
