Strayer plot.
Not a problem. The sexton lives about 1/4 mile west of the cemetery and usually easy to make contact with if he's not at the cemetery. I'll let you know the results. Ken

RE: jeffres
Hi Dora. Yes, I went looking for Hattie's location for the photo request, and when I found the plot, the only stone there was for James. I took photos of the area so you could see, but no headstone for Hattie. Given the same last name on the stone that WAS there, I assume that Hattie and perhaps others in the family are buried there, but only James was marked. I checked the cemetery online index, and only Hattie and James are listed as in Highland Park.

Sorry, I should have made a memorial for James and taken a closer photo, but it's great that you made the memorial. I went ahead and added one of the area photos to the memorial you made, and I or someone else will need to add a close-up photo of James' headstone another time.

RE: Mary Baughman Capps - Find A Grave Memorial# 72418265
Hi - Thanks for your response - Yes, there is a marker in the Crittenden Cemetery in Hulbert OK. It is marked Elizabeth Capps, as her full name was Mary Elizabeth Capps and she went by Elizabeth. She moved to Oklahoma with her son after her husband passed.

Mary Baughman Capps - Find A Grave Memorial# 72418265
Is there some type of actual marker in the Eoff Cemetery for Mary Baughman Capps? Our family records, as well as the following memorial: show her being buried in Crittenden Cemetery in Cherokee County Oklahoma, where she moved with her son Matthew after her husband John died.

Mark Baker
Memorial# 71432065 and 71433088
Hi Dora,
The memorial for Michael Baker # 71432065 is showing the incorrect father. It should be George Baker #154793706, not George Baker 129147850. The memorial for Daniel Baker 71433088 has the same problem. Can you correct them please? Thank you!

I appreciate your concerns, but I'm not convinced that she was married to Isaac Farris, let alone had six children by him namely...
Susannah Farris Bird
John Thomas Farris
Elizabeth Farris Walters
George Washington Farris
Wilmueth Farris FitzGerald
Isaac Farris
...before marrying John Qualls on April 24th, 1792 at the tinder age of 18 years (she was born about 1774).

I still require some documentation that is a "smoking gun", otherwise conjecture based on any circumstantial evidence is not enough to convince me that she married at around the age of 6 or 7 years to a Isaac Farris & had six children by him until his death in Jan. 1790 when she would then be about 15 or 16 years old.

This person created another memorial for her one year after I created mine...

And that same person also created another memorial for John Qualls three & a half years after yours...

They follow your idea on the subject, yet no one ever gives any evidence (not even on any trees in as proof.

I hope you understand why I question the validity of your claims regarding this matter,

McMillian Cemetery added 4/30/2013
Hi Dora,

My name is Darlene Whiteley Williams, I live in osage. The Hobbs family buried at McMillian Cemetery, (Albert, Josephine and Caroline) are my great grandparents and Aunt. I live a short walk from the Cemetery so I have been doing all the upkeep, maintenance and floral arrangements throughout the year.

My question is how did you find out about McMillian Cemetry, the graves , take pictures then put on this website on the date you have listed: Record Added: April 30, 2013. The cemetery has been located here 50 plus years or so. Why April 30, 2013.
By the way, If you need more names buried at ths site and cant find, just ask. I might be able to help out. Thanks for taking my message. look forward to your reply.

Betty Sharp
I checked with the funeral home that had Betty. She was cremated like the 23rd and she was picked up by Doug, her son. The funeral home did not bury the ashes. If Betty is indeed here, that her family may have buried her here in a private ceremony, PLEASE let me know, so I can get the record straight. if need be let me Sharons contact info so we can remedy this issue

RE: Benjamin C and Martha R Nunnley Hawkins
Hi Dora,

I think the easiest way to combine the two memorials for Benjamin Hawkins is for you to change the memorial # on the "father's link" on your memorials for sons, John and Archie. That's the only information that is not shown on Benjamin's memorial that I posted. THen I will transfer Benjamin's memorial to you.

Same thing for Martha's memorial, if you use my memorial # and add it to her parents' memorials, it will change it. Then you will just need to change her # on sons, John and Archie's memorials.

Normally it wouldn't make any difference to me, but this is a cemetery that we worked very, very hard to find and stomped through briars and bushes to find, so I would like for my name to remain on the "created by" line. It took us several years to locate this cemetery and to obtain permission to visit it. I have no problem transferring management to you, but I still would like my name to remain on the "created by" list, so that people can contact me if they need more information on the location or details of this cemetery.

It will be fairly easy for you to change the memorial #'s in the family links for John and Archie and then for Martha's parents, and then the family information that you have will transfer to the memorials.
