Mary Elizabeth Hale Scott photo
Hello, Kathy: Thank you so much for posting the photo of Mary Elizabeth Hale Scott and her sister Bertha on Find A Grave.com. She was my great aunt, and was married to John C. Scott, who was the brother of my grandmother, Mattie Estella Scott Smith. By any chance, might you have a photo of John C. Scott as well? Appreciate you letting me know at your convenience. My email address is dellasmith77833@gmail.com.

Thanks so much for your assistance in this matter. I never met my great uncle John or his wife Mary Elizabeth, since they lived in Kansas and I grew up in Southern California.

Best Regards,

Della

Wayne Mistele
Hi, Are you related to Wayne?

I worked with Wayne back in the late '60s and early '70s. He was a local #1290 laborer and I was a truck driver for Fairway Plumbing and Heating.

I can still see him, clear as a bell. He was a kind, gentle and friendly man. Drove and old green Dodge pickup which he sold to a friend of mine.

I was lucky to have met and worked with Wayne.

RE: Elizabeth Julia Dotson Perry
Hi Kathy!

I remember that! I have kept your e-mail and have looked for a way that Viola was associated with my Dodsons. My Elizabeth Julia (Dodson) Perry was definitely a Dodson. We've found her father's will.

Julia and her husband had 10 children; 2 boys and 8 girls. A couple of cousins have been working on this with me and we're working with DNA to try to fill in the blanks. I was hoping that whoever had her memorial might be another cousin.

It's very nice to talk with you again!

Patricia

Elizabeth Hiddleston
Kathy,

You are correct! The inscription is VERY hard to read, but I'm sure it is Elizabeth Hiddleston. The second line you asked about is Hiddleston in large block letters that are raised but very crusted. The part on the end that looks like TITE is actually TON. The IT is the O and the E is the left half of the N. Underneath that is DIED. The next line is JUN ___ 1872. Next line AGED 4__

I have contrast enhanced it on the computer to even read that much. Most of the stones in the cemetery are VERY weathered. I wish I had taken photos of all of the stones earlier, but even when I was there years ago, the inscriptions were hard to read.

If you would like for me to send you a couple of original photos, let me know.

Martha

Your note "Son of William Greenberry and Susan (Collison) Paxton" is incorrect. He is the son of Greenberry and Eliza (Hartley) Paxton. The links are correct.

Kathy,

Good morning! Hope you've had a good week!!

Would you happen to know what churches were in the area when Emily lived there - circa 1860 - 1870? I am trying to locate additional information about her & her children.

I would appreciate any information you may have on this. Thank you Kathy & have a great weekend!!
