Hugh Edward Jones, incorrect transcription day of death
Fairview Cemetery, Danville, Harper Co., KS.
The transcribed day of death wrong. It shows that he died Feb 13, BUT the gravestone photo clearly shows the date of Feb. 14. I sent a correction to Find A Grave on 23 Aug 2012. It is still not changed as of 27 Jul 2017. Hopefully it can be corrected soon. Thanks.

We are so glad you like them! We have a couple scraped knuckles to show, and the stones really did come out great. The land owners, Tommy and his wife, were so accomodating, and they mowed all the weeds. I love it, love that you can get all the information off the stones, can actually read them! Really completed that project.
Take care Dona!

Gillaspie Family Cemetery
Thank you and you are most welcome! :) Actually it was a dual effort of cleaning and chalking the stones. Amanda, who originally located the cemetery, and I went out there yesterday to clean, chalk and photograph the stones. We are pretty proud of how they turned out :)

I happened to find more Gillaspie's in another cemetery today. Harg, Boone County is a couple miles south west of the Gillaspie Cemetery on Turner Farm Rd.
I made memorials for them - I spelled their names as they are on the stone. Olivet Christian Church Cemetery, Boone County.
Just an FYI

I made it my goal today - you should have seen me. I was like Indiana Jones searching for that cemetery! Like I said, the family that owns it is very friendly, and said I could come back out. It would need to be cleaned up a bit to figure out who has foot stones and facing which directions. It's no problem, but it may have to wait until the spring.

ok - found the family plot (what a hunt that was!!) The plot is in rough shape, and all the headstones were carved from that very soft, white stone. The pictures didn't come out very well. I didn't want to use chalk on the headstones without your permission. The family whose land this is on was very friendly, and said I can come out again any time.

I see you have a lot of memorials in a Gilasepe family plot. Any idea where it might be so I get some picture for you?

Donna, thank you so very much for taking and posting the tombstone photo for Martha Ann Hoagland Taylor Gudgeon. It is greatly appreciated a number of other family members as well as myself.
