My wife Carol and I have been working on our family histories for over thirty years; before that my Dad, a grandmother and two great-grandfathers had contributed. We're glad we discovered Find A Grave with its enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers.|
We've done most of our cemetery searching in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming Counties in PA; Albany, Broome, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Greene, Oneida, Oswego and Putnam in NY; Berkshire and Middlesex in MA; Litchfield in CT; and Sheboygan and Washington in WI.

Do you know who Daniel's parents were or if he had a sister? My Calhoun is Philena who married Henry Harrington. I'm thinking Daniel might be her brother?

Hi Carol! I am still researching. :) Took a break this last year to focus on our new baby. I'd love to get more information on Daniel and Elizabeth, particularly their children to see if they are related to my great great+ grandparents. Thank you!

|John Heseltine||Samuel M. Sprole|
S. M. Sprole was commissioned directly into the U. S. Army. He did not graduate from West Point. He is listed as a cadet in 1855 but there is no further record of him being at the Military Academy, His brother Henry graduated from West Point class of 1869

Hi Karl! I was wondering if you happen to know the names of Daniel and Eliza's children? On Eliza's memorial it states there was a family bible. I'd love to know if it still exists and what other information it may obtain. I have a feeling that Daniel and Eliza Calhoun are the parents of one of my ancestors or perhaps a relative of some sort but need more info to confirm. Thank you so much for your time!

Sorry Karl for the repot here. I have been between phones and computers but now am on tract. I will do everything to correct the error here and again, sorry for the delay. As soon as I get some time I'll take care of it. Just let me know again what to do just in case the error has been corrected already.

There are several other Kommers graves in the same lot (Block 7, Lot 1). I got photos of all of them and after I research them I will add them to Find A Grave. I will then transfer them to you.

Hi Karl. If you go to http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~palackaw/cemeteries/ProspectHill.html
you'll see a map of the cemetery. The Ritter stones are in block 18.
|Valarie Vine||Castlelyons Graveyard|
The information I added was from a document. There is a website on the internet (google "Castlelyons Graveyard") that has some nice photos that may be of interest to you. Apparently the old church was renovated in 1899, but closed in 1960.

I honored your request on the memorial of Clara Sise. When you have extra time let me know if all is correct. IS THIS YOUR ANCESTOR?
Blessings In Christ
