Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my family for many years and have found Findagrave to be invaluable.

Many of my memorials have been entered from transcripts and I have not seen the actual headstone. If you post a headstone photo to a memorial, and there is a difference in info, please send an edit and let me know.

Do not post a death certificate to a memorial that I manage. I know they are allowed, but I don't care for them, and Findagrave does remove them when requested. So it will save everyone work, if they're not posted to begin with. If there is information on the d/c that I have not listed, send an edit and I'll add it. The death certificate does not add anything to the memorial that can't be put in the bio.

Do not add bio information with a virtual flower, this is Findagrave policy. If there is information you want added to the bio, send an edit. Any virtual flowers with bio information will be deleted, WITHOUT adding the bio info to the memorial.

When requesting a transfer, for any memorial that is outside the 4 generation guideline (siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren), please explain your relationship, and why you wish the memorial transferred. I'll consider the request, and transfer on a case by case basis. Thanks!

RE: Piedmont Flight 22
So now my page for the memorial was taken down. My pics were approved this morning and tonight I went to add more and it was gone.

RE: Piedmont Flight 22
Yeah I entered the pics in the photo section and got an email saying that wasnt allowed and that it would be turned into a virtual flower, so I pulled it up and there was a forget me not with my name in the virtual flowers, so I started checking all the ones I had add the pic too, and all had been changed. When you add a photo other comes up as one of the options, so I was even selecting it and then add a description to the photo saying it was the memorial in Hendersonville.

I created the memorial last night and stated adding the names. Find a Grave accepted my hptos this morning for the memorial, so I am going to continue adding and hoepfully I can get it done by the 50th anniversary. In the bio section I have been adding what I have learned about the individual from my research that you see in the Facebook group. I am not linking them to family unless they were on the plane too, that would cause confusion to the already linked family members. Thanks for your help, I may be asking again for it.

RE: Piedmont Flight 22
they were removed and turned into virtual fprget me not flowers. So I can create a memprial for the memorial site even though there are no ashes or bodies just the plaque? I would like to do this for the 50th anniversary. The only thing I have seen is your virtual cemetery

RE: Piedmont Flight 22
Hey Joni glad to hear back from you. I tried to add a pic of the memorial in town to the grave sites without anything, I even identified the memorial and to where it was at, but I guess you arent suppose to add memorial pics, so 40 pics I had done already have been removed. Its sad the grave sites dont have any pics after 40 years and I am not allowed to post any. I hope to ad some pics I take to the facebook group after next week after I attend the ceremony. My dad was a deputy sheriff that worked the scene. I heard the stories growing up. I was 2 at the time.

Piedmont Flight 22
Joni I have noticed your interest in the crash of the Piedmont flight 22 in Hendersonville, NC 50 years ago this month. I was wondering where you live and if you have a connection to the flight. Also if you live near Hendersonville, I want to let you that we are planning an event on the 19th in honor of the 50th anniversary if you wanted to attend. I also have a Facebook group called Remembering flight 22 Hendersonville, NC if you are on facebook you could look it up and join. There are over 60 pics there from the crash site and a short video, along with newspapers links from the Hendersonville Times News and other papers. Some of the members of the group are actual witnesses that day. I also have been listing any info I could find on all 82 of the people that died that day.

Thanks for the update on information regarding Dillon Baldridge's memorial. Your advice is appreciated. He is certainly a hero in everyone's eyes who enjoys their freedom. Helen. Nashville, TN

Correction to England men, Rockingham, NC
Hey Joni:

Doing research here and ran across two cousins' memorials (one from maternal side, the other from paternal side, BOTH with the same names essentially).

Bobby Lee England 50704533 was NOT a son of J.P. England, and was NOT a husband to Patsy Harden. This Bobby was named Robert and called Bobby, and his parents were Peter L. England (no memorial) and Ollie Mae Goodwin Williams (has memorial).

Bobby Earl England 40226140 WAS the husband of Patsy Harden (has a memorial) and was the son of Summie Francis England and Mary Magalene Grooms England. To my knowledge, Mr. Summie has a memorial; I KNOW my great aunt Maggie has one. Not sure who the J.P. England was.

I hope you will look into these and make the suggested corrections. If you have questions, feel free to contact me.

Best wishes, and thanks for all the hard work!

Annis Vuncannon dates
Hi Joni, Would you please recheck Annis Vuncannon tombstone date as posted? It should be 1885 instead of 1855 I believe. He is the son of William Riley Vuncannon and is listed in the 1920 census of Marks Creek Township, Richmond County, age 36, with first wife Sarah Ellen Luck. Thank you so much. Ramona

RE: Finlay McSween #54393630
JONI ..
The surname was spelled in a variety of ways: McSwain, McSween, McSwean

I have...
'British Aliens in the U.S. During the War of 1812' p342 (North Carolina), which lists:
Finlay McSwain, age 64, 9 yrs in US (probably 10 yrs), wife and 3 children, Richmond County, farmer (14 Sep - 12 Oct 1812) .. b: 1848; arrival: 1803 (probably 1802, along with Angus (70), brother, and Daniel (32), son or nephew)
Finlay McSwain, age 47, 22 years in U.S., wife and 6 children, Richmond County (14 Sep - 12 Oct 1812) .. b: 1765; arrival: 1790, along with Daniel (55) and Daniel (52).

I also have a newspaper article listing arrival into Wilmington Harbor NC on 29 Oct 1802 of the ship 'Duke of Kent' from Liverpool, England carrying 497 passengers, mostly Scots from Isle of Skye, Iverness-shire.

My research indicates that this part of the family arrived in 1790 and 1802 from Isle of Skye, Inverness-shire, Scotland. But I understand that there are other possible 'stories' to consider.

Would you like a copy of the documents that I have?

THANKS for your reply...
