Jack Housman #58276691
Words can not express how grateful I am that you found my Gr Uncle Jack Housman, 1883 - 1949. I traveled to Montana from Oregon to confirm with the county records that this was indeed my Uncle. Our family is in the process of having a new headstone placed on his grave. He was a famous fur trapper in his day in the Bitterroot Valley area. A mountain of a man, 6ft 4in 284 lbs. Known as the "Gentle Giant". Thank you for being a member of Find A Grave.

Melvia Green
This post has Thomas Henry Stringham married to Millie. The census(s) list the Husband as T L Stringham and the son is named after the father as Thomas Lavaughn Stringham. Thomas Henry was married to Aice Rose from 1919 until his death. Millie still had Stringham children until 1924. I can find no documentation of marriage, but she is listed as Millie Stringham on marriage to Lorenzo Green.
Millie is my Great Aunt.

Many thanks for posting the Hall pictures - much appreciated! I note you have also loaded a picture of the stone for Bryant Hall who, I would assume, is the son of Blair and Carole Hall (though haven't found anything yet to actually document it!) It would be great if you would kindly transfer one of your pictures off the parents' pages and onto the baby's page.
Thanx a mil!

Death date of James edward Bowman
I received an email from Lowell Gillett, husband of Janet Bowman, a grand-daughter of James Edward Bowman. Lowell says they have a copy of the death certificate from Montana and the date of death is December 16, 1909.

Part of his email follows:

From: "lowell gillett"
Sent: Monday, May 25, 2015 4:30:27 PM
Subject: Bowman ancestrory

Bruce, my name is Lowell Gillett. I am married to Janet Bowman whose father was Roscoe Edward Bowman, whose father was James Edward Bowman. I noticed you have done several things on Findagrave.
On Family Search I have posted comments on James Edward's name..I have his death certificate and other info which show the death date of Dec. 16, 1909 om Venanda, Mont.
I also have photos of James Edward which I got from Arleene about four years ago.

Thanks for your help and work.

Lowell Gillett

So take this information under advisement and decide what date of death you want on the memorial.

I went to the link you sent me and it looks like it is a note that someone made about the death and/or grave. Not sure however.

Thanks for your help.
