I have been researching some of the 36,000 + Army Air Forces personnel who died in the line of duty, of non-combat causes during the World War II era in service-related accidents. It is said that more|
than 15,500 Army airmen were killed in airplane accidents between 1941 and 1946, within the borders of the U.S. and it's territories. They gave their all and died in the service of their country, but received no purple hearts and virtually no mention in the history books and have largely been forgotten by time.
For corrections, additions, or requests for transfer of memorial, please use the Edit tab, and select Suggest a Correction or Provide Additional Information to make any update requests. It is much easier to handle the issue this way, rather than a personal message.
I am happy to update any memorial, including family links. But I DO NOT like adding census information, copies of death certificates and please do not add long obituaries to the "photo" area. The information can be condensed and pasted into the bio area. If you don't have the time to type out the obituary, just email it to me. I will add it and give you credit for finding it.
I appreciate any information that can "round out" someone's bio.

Tim, thank you for the photographs! I live in White, South Dakota where Cecil's name is read every year during the Memorial Day service at Fairview Cemetery in White along with many others who served our country.

Hi again Tim,
Thanks for all the photos you've been uploading at Manila.
I just realized how many names are on the Tablets there. About 10 times more names than are at the North Africa Tablets.

Wow! This is wonderful. The Fearheiley family was so excited to see this picture. They did not know about the wall at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial. Now they know their loved one was not forgotten. Thank you for all you do to help others. I know their they appreciate your helpful pictures as well.
Have a great weekend!!
With deepest respects.
