Bio Photo TEMPORARILY--If you ask for a SAC, please don't give up on me. I WILL get around to it. And if you don't hear from me in a timely manner, please send another SAC.

I am getting quite a few messages for simple name, spouse, date changes. PLEASE, PLEASE use the "new" edit offerings on each memorial under the edit tab. Saves us both time, and eliminates mistakes. And, always check the little box that gives you a copy of what you sent as an edit. Thanks.

Please, please always check to see if there are memorials already entered BEFORE you enter a new memorial. FG and we here in Bosque County do not like duplicates, and nearly always ask that the earliest memorial stand. PLEASE do not post death certificates! If there is a good reason to state an unusual death, send a notice and I will post it.

I am a native Central Texan, presently living in Bosque County and a member of the Bosque County Historical Commission and BC Genealogical Society.

If you find a mistake, please let me know. I do not mind transferring if a memorial is a relative, but otherwise, I would prefer not to. However, I inherited many memorials from some retirees, and on other cemeteries, other than Bosque County, I would consider transfers.

I just recently finished two genealogies for Poston and Birdwell. FindaGrave information has been priceless! Thanks to all who have contributed. Now, I am currently researching several families: Streight/Straight, Tomchesson, Custer (almost finished!), Boulware, Barber, Frans.

Wrong info for Lucy Wortham McLennan
Hi Abby,
I'm new to this, but I just had to let you know that the information for Lucy Wortham McLennan Memorial# 34524339 is incorrect. Her parents were B.W."Bud"(Memorial# 58597817) & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Allen Wortham (Memorial# 34319052). She was married to Johnnie Louis McLennan (1892 - 1953), which is correct. Her sibling should be:
Jerry Wortham- Memorial# 152190972 in Rock Springs Cemetery in Valley Mills, Tx.

You have her in-laws listed as her parents and siblings. Lucy is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery in Valley Mills, Tx.
Thanks so much for making these corrections!

Charles Walker is the son of Hugh Walker

Please accept my suggested change that Charles W. Walker of Bosque County Texas is not the son of Joseph Jeptha Walker and Mary Josephine Heath. Instead he is the son of Hugh O. Walker and Liddie A. Walker who are buried in the same cemetery with the Charles W. Walker of Bosque County Texas.
Find A Grave Memorial# 25900065
Find A Grave Memorial# 25900066

The other Walker family: Jeptha and Mary were never in Bosque County Texas and the Bosque County Charles E. Walker was never in the Garvin County Oklahoma.

So please do not link the Charles Walker of Bosque County Texas to Jeptha and Mary Walker. Their son, also named Charles Walker is buried in Pauls Valley where they too are buried.

See the 1910 Census E. D. 13, pages 1b and 2a for Hugh Walker
and his wife Liddie Walker and children among who is Charlie walker.

I left a suggested change for the parents of the Charles W. Walker of Bosque County. Find A Grave Memorial# 26136764

Re: C. Eber Thomas

I would like to inform you about two duplicate memorials in the Oakwood Cemetery, Hamilton, Hamilton County, Texas that were originally created on the same date by Trisha, and currently maintained by you.

C. Eber (Shorty) Thomas, Memorial # 19997593.
I note that on this memorial Shorty is listed as his middle name, along with Eber.

C. Eber Shorty Thomas, Memorial # 19997519.
I note that on this memorial, Shorty is correctly listed as C. Ebers nickname. Dates of birth and death are not included on this memorial.

While I have great grandparents and an uncle, who died in infancy, whose surnames are Thomas buried in Hamilton County, I do not believe C. Eber Thomas is directly, or indirectly, related to me. I was simply researching the Thomas family and came across the memorials for C. Eber Thomas while doing my research. I thought you might appreciate me letting you know of the these duplicate memorials.

Thank you for all you do for the Find A Grave website!

RE: Osco Moore
Thanks for the info! I will pass that along to my uncle. He still lives in Valley Mills and maybe can get that marker done.

Myrtle (Burrow) McRae
Hi Abby,

I created the memorial for Myrtle at Valley Mills cemetery, as that is where her TX death certificate shows she was buried on March 13, 1944. If you learn that she is actually buried somewhere else, please let me know!
