|Bio and Links|
I am a native resident of Dayton, Ohio, son of Myron Dale and Emma Lucille (Smith) Poling. My favorite hobby has always been genealogy, but I started seriously studying my roots in 1993. I am single and retired after 30 combined years of service with the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts & Prosecuting Attorney offices. I enjoy entering information at Find A Grave. I have worked on entering information on many cemeteries including the following six cemeteries; Vernon Baptist Cemetery, Clinton County, Ohio; St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, North Star, Ohio; Roxanna Cemetery, Roxanna, Ohio; Mount Holly Cemetery, Mount Holly, Ohio; McKnight Cemetery, Spring Valley, Ohio; Spring Valley Cemetery, Spring Valley, Ohio; also I worked on entering information on Sections A, B, C, and part of Section D, of Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, Ohio. I like to research a persons name and add a small bio where possible. Please contact me with corrections / suggestions / links for my entries. Also contact me if you would like me to transfer a memorial page to you. |
Thought - If you take time to proof read your work, and do a little research on the person you are creating a memorial page for, you won't receive dozen upon dozens of edit requests!
Thank you for taking time to read my bio.

John, Thank you so much for all that you do. I have just seen my grand mothers grave site for the first time. I wanted to know if you could help me since you were so kind as to upload my grandmothers site. Her son my uncle who passed before I was ever born should be buried next to her. His name is William John Thompson and passed the year before she did which would be in 1970 possibly. He was born I believe in 1948. Could you please please see if he is there. I am in Missouri and unable to do this myself.
Kind Regards, Jen Willis

Then you and my husband are cousins! They are my husband's 3rd great grandparents, through their son Daniel who removed to Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Very compelling family!

John, I know I have already taken full advantage of you and just can not ask anymore from you. I thank you so very very much. I do believe you do more for Find A Grave than anyone else in Ohio.
|Linda J. Morris||RE: Simison|
Tried to email you by the email you gave me is not accepted. So, if you don't mind, I will give you the information here.
The Simison family I would like to have are the following:
I found a lot of names that I knew but could not honestly say I could add anything of value to them. Ohio was ground zero for many of my family. All of them in a hurry to claim their land grants from the Rev War. lol
I do appreciate this John, I did get a lot of information from your memorials that I did not have and it would have taken me so much time to find even if I could.
I would love to go back to Greene and Montgomery Counties but if I will ever is doubtful. I live south of Phoenix, AZ and spend most of my time wandering around here.
Thank you so very much again

John, Will you do me one more favor, please if you give any of these families up, could I have them please. They all come from Samuel Knight and Hannah Cain. Me too. Anyway, I have never got to put up their history on them and it is rather good. The Knight family came over with William Penn in 1680. Samuel Knight m. Hannah Cain, daughter of Daniel Cain REV WAR and he turned around and married for the 2ed time to Samuel's sister Sarah. You have done a lot for me in the past with my other family, the Schnepp's. They all lived in the same area at one time.
Thank you for doing such a bang up job on the Simison's. I love your work.
Linda Morris grandaughter of Lora Edith Knight.

Thank you for giving me Cyril's middle name. How did you know that?? Cyril was my Grandmother Elizabeth (Jarka) Januchowski's nephew. Thanks again!
|B Mowen||RE: Carroll or Carrill|
I think it's a stone error and should have been Carroll. I see you have researched this person very thoroughly (via you Ancestry.com family tree). Your work is impeccable. Thanks.

|Pam Hunter||Misspelled my grandmother's name|
My name is Pam Stokes Hunter. I am May Daniels Witham's granddaughter. My mom is her last surviving child, Judith Ann Daniels Stokes. She and wanted to inform you that my grandmother's name is listed incorrectly in your record here. The "V" did not stand for Vivian. It stood for Vada. I noticed in working on my ancestry.com records that it has come up a few times and I've not accepted it as a hint because it was incorrect. I wonder if you might be able to change it or tell me how to change it.
Thank you so much!

I had sent you a correction that she has a headstone in Sec L-31 in Woodland. Posted pictures on her memorial you have in Spring Valley
