I've enjoyed working on my family tree and helping others with their research for many years. I am a member of several genealogy organizations and the DAR. It's important to preserve the family history provided to us by cemeteries. Besides looking for my own family names, I also like to record military graves and the older headstones before they are no longer readable. |
Please feel free to use my photos for your personal use.

|Alex||RE: Richard Hallenbeck (1811-1858)|
I have some information for you.
Richard J. Hallenbeck's (not P, or I) father was John D. Hallenbeck: born October 1, 1790 and died May 6, 1828. Richard's mother appears to have been Maria Lampman.
John's grave appears to be behind the old Garrett Van Hoesen farm in Athens, NY, behind the south buidling.
John's father was Derrick W. Hallenbeck, born January 3, 1762 and died on September 24, 1833. Derrick's wife seems to have been Christina, although I could not find her maiden name. Derrick is buried as Derrick Hollenbeck in Hudson, NY.
Derrick's father was Willem Hallenbeck (1731-1813) and his wife Mary Spoor (1736-1813). I have been unable to locate their graves.
Please let me know if you would like any further information.

Thanks Marte. I don't have any documentation that her maiden name was Tucker. Does Mount Hope have a record that she's there? Just in case, I started looking for her and Charles in cemeteries in and around Quogue, NY. They were in Quogue in the 1920 census, she's 70, he's 68, they were living with nephew Charles Van Hoesen, the son of Charles Lucas' sister Lucy Lucas. Another brother, George Lucas is on the same census page. I have found the graves of most of them. Thanks again for your prompt edit.

Wow, that was quick. Thanks.

Hi. See memorial #73103513, Harmen Jansen Knickerbocker. This memorial used to list the wrong cemetery, but this error has been corrected. Your picture is great, but its not the cemetery where Harmen was actually buried. Could you remove the photo? Thanks.

I noticed you posted information on St Agnes Cemetery "Find a Grave" for Catherine Dee Frederick. What is your connection to the two families?
Catherine is a great great aunt of mine and also a relative of another person on Ancestry.Com who is related to the Frederick family
