Looking for my Great Aunt grave
Hi my name is Vicky Ratliff Franklin and have been looking for my Great Aunt Lillie Ratliff Knight. She was from Adams, Cullman Ala. She was born in 1899 and died in 1915 I think. I think she might be around Hansville. She was married to E. D. Dave Knight. Her fathers name was Lillard and mother was Leatha. I hope you can help me find her so I can pay my respects.

RE: Samual Goolsby
Thank you for that information. I hadn't found anything with a middle initial. And his headstone just has "Sam". Larry Morgan

Samual Goolsby
Can you tell me where you got the "Z" as Samual's middle initial. He is in my family tree and I do not have that information. Thank you, Larry Morgan

Thank you!
Michele, thank you so much for posting an entry for my mother. Today marks the 14th year of her passing and out of curiosity I searched her name on Google and found this website. Just wanted to say thanks! ~Resha :)

Mrs. Elizabeth Smith Look

Sarah Elizabeth Smith was born in the town of Prattsburgh, April 30, 1834. Her father was Roger Smith, who came to Prattsburgh from Galway, Saratoga county, about 1820; her mother's maiden name was Lydia Ables. She was the youngest of a family of six children. The five sisters were all women of marked character and the brother became a minister of the Free Baptist Church. Her father died when she was only six months old, and five years later the mother succumbed to the same disease, comsumption. Before her death she arranged a home for the little girl with Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Wheeler, of Bath. These good Christian people took her to their hearts and loved and cared for her as they did their own children. Here she lived until she was twenty-four. Here at an early age she was converted and joined the Methodist church. To this home in later yars she often came with her children, to whom Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler were always grandfather and grandmother. In 1860 she was married to George H. Look, of Prattsburgh, whom she survived four years. Of this union nine children were born, of whom eight grew to maturity. George S. died at Atallssa, Iowa in 1888, Arthur V. W. died in Hammondsport in 1906; and Ira B. died in Rochester in 1908. The five children still living are Mrs. D. C. Chamberlayne of Holley, NY; Bishop S. of Charlotte, NC; Kate S. of Prattsburgh; Samuel M. of New York, and Enos S. of Hamlin, NY. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. G. S. Ingrahm of Corin, NY.

Mrs. Look was a woman of great poise of character. Her religion was a living reality in her life. A woman of broad sypathies, in spite of the cares of a large household, she took time for the virtues of neighborliness and friendship and the culture of mind and heart. Her declining years were spent in great peace and serenity in the old homestead with her daughter Kate, whose thoughtfulnesss and care for her were very marked. Here, there was leisure for reading and study and an extensive correspondence with her children and friends. Her children rise up and call her blessed. With the exeption of Bishop, in the South, they were all with her at the last and she was greatly conforted by their presence. She retained her faculties remarkabaly. A few hours before her death, she asked her daughter to talk to her. "Mother what shall I talk about," she asked. "Why about dying, of course." The daughter repeated the various passages of scripture and when she came to the 23rd Psalm her mother joined her in repeating it. A little later and she had reached the end of "the valley of the shadow" and had gone to "dwell in the House of the Lord forever". This was Sunday morning, March 5. On Wednesday at 2 PM in the Methodist church her passtor, Rev. E. W. Collings, conducted the funeral service, speaking from the text, "I will fear no evil." Burial was in Prattsburgh Rural Cemetery.

Wasu-duta Red Hail
Ms. Michele: I just noticed two 'Find a Grave" sites for Red Hail. The other was maintained by Don Zas, who has passed away. Did you take over this site?

In any event, I'm unable to get a respond from Mr. Zas contacts to have this transfered to me shaw lee, 469223311 as I've posted photos in Mr. Zas' entries and would like to enter Red Hail's bio.

Please let me know how there can be only one of Red Hail's grave site, as opposed to two. And who is mainting it if Mr. Zas is deceased.

Thanking you in advance. shaw lee 46922331, mr. Don Zas # was 46515643. Mr.Red Hail (Claude Langer's # is 31146541. I look forward to hearing from you. shaw-lee
