Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been interested in genealogy research for many years, actively engaged for the last 10+ years. I am researching my roots, namely, the Bane/Bain/Bayne families of east Tennessee, the Crabtree family of Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky; the Cade family of Tennessee; the Blackburn family of east Tennessee, originally from Ashe County, North Carolina, and the Maynard and Pack families of West Virginia. For the benefit of my children I also do some limited research of my wife's family- the Bards of Fulton County, Pennsylvania, and the Allisons of Gallia County, Ohio.

She is my 2nd great-uncle's wife. So I guess we are related.

Mary Price Taylor
You added a picture to Mary Price Taylor's page of her, I would like to use it on Ancestry if that's ok?

Photos of Mary L. Cade Crabtree and Christopher Columbus Crabtree
Thank you for the photos of Mary L. Cade Crabtree and Christopher Columbus Crabtree. They are my great great great grandparents on my mom's side through my grandfather. I loved listening to my Granny Maggie talk about her family.
Can you tell me anything about the photos? Do you know who the baby is in the photo with Mary? When/where were the photos taken? What do you know about Christopher Columbus Crabtree's picture? I know the symbols around the photo mean he was a Mason. My grandfather who would be his great grandson was also a Mason. Do you have any idea of their ages in the photos?
Once again, thank you so much for the photos. I would love to know anything you can tell me about the Cade and Crabtree families.
My email address is
Cassandra Simpson Jones

Mary L Cade Crabtree and Christopher Columbus Crabtree are the parents of Mattie L Crabtree Moore who is the mom of Maggie Lee Moore Simpson, the mother of my grandfather Clarence Edward "Bill" Simpson dad of my mom, Catherine Elizabeth Simpson.

Harley Tripett Holloay
I noticed picture on is tombstone was Harley in his uniform . I am going to enter Harley on our Veterans Wall in Bledsoe County. If you have a copy of Harley in his uniform I appreciated a copy for our wall. Yes, Harley was my mother first cousin. Aunt Ella was a dear person to me.

Are you related?
Hope to hear from you soon.

RE: James Maynard

Thank you very much.

I am the organizer of the WC Genealogical & Historical Society some 20 years ago.

I was involved in the setting of his tombstone yesterday. We had 33 persons attending & was a great day.

If you like, I will send a photo of the headstone.
