I am a lifelong resident of Conshohocken, Pa. I am an avid student of history most noteably the United States Civil War. I graduated in 1969 from the former Archbishop Kennedy High School in Conshohocken, where my interest in history was cultivated by Sr. Maria Davidica IHM in my junior year. In the past I have served as President of the Conshohocken Fire Co. No 2 and as Fire Marshal for the Borough of Conshohocken. I am the founder of the Civil War Roundtable of Montgomery County, Pa ( and Vice-President of the Historical Society of Montgomery County. I volunteer my time at Montgomery Cemetery in West Norriton Township. I like to make known the life stories of the everyday men and women of my hometown and the surrounding area, especially those who served in the Civil War.

Bucci Family Members
Thank you for your research and information Nicola, Maria and Pasquale Bucci. I have been trying to find information on them for years!! Are there any additional Bucci family members at St Patricks Cemetery in Norristown?

Nellie Rhinehart Davis #171322954
I believe this memorial is a duplicate of #25504423.
Fannie Winetta (Nettie) Rinehart, daughter of John W Rinehart & Margaret Hilton, married Marvin R Davis. The death cert was indexed incorrectly on Ancestry as Nillie or Nellie. And the surname, despite being misspelled in many documents, is actually Rinehart. Fannie was my 2nd cousin 2x removed.

Treemount Cemetery
Hi, I'm wondering about this cemetery, the name, it's address, etc. Is this cemetery located at Sandy Street and Tremont Avenue in Norristown, near a playground?

I ran across a death certificate today and the place of burial was recorded as "Treemont" Cemetery, and thinking that it was a misspelling of "Tremont" since Tremont is also the name of a street in Norristown, I looked for a Tremont Cemetery without success. "Treemount" was the closest I could find.

I can't walk well enough any more to explore or transcribe this cemetery on foot, but I would like to add a memorial or 3 and want to make sure I have the right cemetery. Also, there is no address listed for this cemetery on Find A Grave.

Have you seen this article in The Times Herald from 2001?
I'm thinking that someone ought to update this cemetery listing on Find A Grave --an address, a little history of the cemetery, etc.

Roberts Cemetery/Red Hill
You know way more than I do about this.
I questioned whether the cemetery should be named Roberts Cemetery, as it now is on Find A Grave, or Jonathan Roberts Burial Grounds, which is what the stone sign says. Someone other than me created the cemetery so that they could create the memorial to Jonathan Roberts, and I believe they are the ones who named it Roberts Cemetery.

Would you like to do the honors and seek the AKA designation, and decide whether to ask that the name be changed? I think the background on the fact that it was not only a family burial ground but also had the other purpose would be good info for the main page, and you could word it more accurately.

Let me know.

RE: James America
Hi, Thanks for that info. Is it all one cemetery or two different ones? All I saw when I was there was the Roberts family. This explains why other memorials are showing up. If the names are considered to be interchangeable we ought to seek an "also known as" designation.

RE: Willian C Ensley
No, I am in Clark County, Ohio. Just a little bit away from your location. Alternate spellings-Endsley, Ansley. William C. Ensley, and Julia ???.
William C. Ensley and Sarah Elizabeth Gordon are the ancestors I am looking for. She married an Anderson after Ensley. Thank you.
