Hi, Do you know any information about Patrick Donnelly at the Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in Brooklyn, Kings Co, NY? There are no dates on his headstone. I wonder where his wife is buried? Any information would be most appreciated. Thanks. Linda His # is 3261 5985

I thought I would help you with the death date of William Stachelroth. I see your photo request for Most Holy Trinity Cemetery. I will be in that cemetery this week to photograph the headstones, if there is a headstone.

Thanks so much for the info. I was wondering since I did not have death dates for the Stachelroths, but now thanks to you I do. Catherine Struempfler Stachelroth is a distant relation and am glad to see that someone I was researching who is buried in that cemetery has a headstone remaining! So far, all others in my research buried there unfortunately have no markers remaining.
I will make a request for the Stachelroths but am in no hurry to get it filled. I have been to Most Holy Trinity awhile ago and plan to go again. I live out of state so am unsure when I'll be able to get there. The times I was there though, there were no security people to give me a hard time (thankfully :))Thanks again!

Hi, I see you added memorials for Louis, Katherine & William Stachelroth at Most Holy Trinity in Brooklyn. I did not see photos and was wondering if you knew if the headstones were still remaining? Thanks.

1. Regarding the grave at the St. James Section location, it could very well be true that the site was purchased by Thomas Harr and that James (Herr?) is also buried there. It's just that the marker indicates just the name of Catherine R. (I'm a bit confused. The marker of Margaret Best, et al indicates that it was erected by James J. Herr, but that James J. Harr is buried there. Am I correct in assuming that these are two different individuals?)
James J Harr (Herr) is my grandfather. Margaret is his daughter, my aunt. As far as I know there is only one James Harr (Herr) in my family that would be buried there. Thomas Harr (Herr) is his father..my great grandfather, but I dont know that his is buried there. Eliza Harr (Herr) is Thomas' wife..James' Mother.
2. They might also be correct when they say that there are six others buried with Margaret Best. Again, the marker lists only five names. I'd really love to get a look at their records.
The cemetery wants $75 to access the names of those buried there. I cannot see paying it.
3. No, I've never been to St. Peters Cemetery. Before yesterday, I hadn't been to Holy Cross Cemetery. According to my list of cemeteries under the care of St. Johns, St. Peters isn't one of them, so I checked Yahoo. They list this phone number: (718) 442-2363
I will try to call them and see if they give me any info.
4. Out of curiosity, I checked the death index database at the German Genealogy Group website (http://www.germangenealogygroup.com) for the surname Harr. There were three names from Richmond: Catherine (68y, Jan 27 1920), Thomas (65y, Apr 7 1898), Thomas (53y, Oct 23 1944). The date associated with the second name agrees with that on the marker at the Find A Grave memorial you mentioned. I'm not sure how much information you have about these individuals. Since I'm going to the Municipal Archives tomorrow, I'll look up their certificates and relay it all to you.
I too saw that on the website. I think that Thomas is my great grandfather..Catherine is his second wife and Thomas is his son from his second marriage. I would appreciate anything you find. Someone was going to help me with some other searches I need since I am unable to come to NY but have not heard back from him yet.

I sent my request to Holy Cross who forwarded it to St. John's I believe. They are stating that the site of Catherine R. was purchased by Thomas Harr but that James was buried there. I cannot find the resting place of Thomas. They stated my Aunt Margaret Best had six others buried with her but from the inscription, it doesnt appear to be so.
Have you ever been to St Peters Cemetery in Richmond Co? I saw a Thomas Harr photo listed on find a grave. I know my great grandfather's second wife, along with their son and my grandfather (from Thomas' first marriage) lived in Richmond. Do you know how to obtain records from Richmond to see if that Thomas is him?
