Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for many years. One of my favorite things in researching is visiting cemeteries. I love to just walk around the tombstones and try to imagine what the people's lives might have been like. I have been contributing tombstone pictures to this site to help fellow genealogists that are a distance away that can't visit their relative's gravesite in person.

My family has been a big assistance to me in my project for this website. My son, Trenton, my daughter, Alena, and my husband, Terry, have helped me take tombstone photos. So a big "THANKS" goes out to all three of them!!

Quote from Findagrave: "The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. THE ULTIMATE GOAL SHOULD BE TO HAVE MEANINGFUL, ACCURATE MEMORIALS THAT HONOR THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY, REGARDLESS OF WHO CREATED THE MEMORIAL OR WHO MAINTAINS IT." Please keep this in mind when you request a transfer as it takes a lot of time and money to do research to add memorials to this site. I love working on this site, but I have run into some problems just recently.

I DO WELCOME ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS AND FAMILY LINKS. The more information the better!! I usually get the updates done within 1 or 2 days.

nancy ann lawson bennett
Lesa, Nancy Ann Lawson Bennett (Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks MI) was my great-great-grandmother. I have decorated the graves of Samuel and Nancy Bennett many times. I see that you have Agnes CURTIS as Nancy's mother. Do you have documentation for the surname Curtis? I have contacted several people who are using the Curtis name in their family trees in the hope that someone has actual documentation for that name. So far, the only answer I have received is that they copied it from Ancestry. I'm hoping that perhaps you have the proof that is required for positively identifying the connection. Please contact me directly at my email address: Thank you. Dena Ward, Noblesville IN

Thank you and HELP!
Thanks so much for giving me family that I never even knew existed. Your photos have led me to some neat little cemeteries that I didn't even know existed! I added a few photos to some of your bios and most came out fine. A few are sideways though no matter how many times I flip them before uploading. Is there a way to fix this?

MArtha J Bastion
Hello Lesa - I have benefited from your findagrave entries and I thank you for your work.

I am wondering if you know any living members of Martha J Bastion's family.

In her obituary, it states she had a child that died in infancy. I am wondering more about this child.

Please contact me at

Butler Family
Am I correct that you are related to the Butler family. If not then ignore. If so then I wonder if you can help me. My great-great-great-grandfather was William Fredrick Butler 1834-1898. His son Philip had a daughter named Philipine who is my great grandmother. Trying to get info on the Butler family back to Germany. Have you had any success. Also looking for any photos of family in Danville. Are you related to Peggy Epperson who lives in St. Paul Minnesota?

William McFarland
Hi Lesa,

Back in 2010 you put info on the grave of William McFarland in Find a Grave. You indicated he was buried in the Salem Cemetery near Attica, Indiana. Do you recall if he had a stone that you read or was your finding from some cemetery record? You knew he had been in the 72nd Indiana so where did you find that.

Thank you for your time and kind assistance.

John Eaton was my 3rd Great Grandfather. I saw that you have performed some research. Do you know how he passed or rather how he died? Link below is to his Find A Grave site. Thank you! Dave

Serena A & John B Lawson#279ooo94
Hi, I do have more info on Serena & John Lawson. May I ask, if I can send this to you, to add their children's names. Seen it was back in 2008, when you add them to Find A Grave.

Thank you.
Billie May.
