Hi - Thank you so much for transferring June's memorial to me. Best wishes, David Edsall
Hi, Chuck. If you go to this page there is a link near the top for an alphabetical listing of burials. I see Lowell is not listed there for some reason, however his wife is. If you scroll down a bit there are maps for every section of the cemetery and you should be able to locate the grave site. They are in Mehaffy North, lot 275. This is a newer part of the cemetery located on the west side of the cemetery. It looks like there are a few other Honson's located in that area as well. The different areas of the cemetery are well marked by signs.
If you are in the area during a weekday and need further help or information the cemetery records are located at the Breuer Agency, located at 650 Main Street in Mediapolis, (which is near the cemetery), phone (319) 394-3323. Bob Breuer and his staff do an outstanding job of keeping these records and have been very helpful to me on many occasions.
Also, if you would like me to transfer ownership of this memorial to you I would be happy to do so. Just let me know.
Good luck and happy hunting.

Re: Nikolas Schons (#55749616). His wife was actually Anna Theis, not Margaretha Kirsch (#55749593). The two graves are properly connected, but dates on the stone match up with Anna Theis Schons. Anna's obituary (July 4th, 1949, Waterloo Courier) states that she was born 20 Apr 1858 to Peter and Barbara Theis, and married Nickolaus Schons, at Oxford, Indiana, and that they had ten children together. (Each of the Schons children I've found marriage records for, including the eldest son, gives a variation of "Anna Theis" as mother.) If you'd like the obit, please email me. Thanks! Michele at email@example.com.

The information is from his funeral card. His wife is my first cousin. But the obit was in the Waterloo Courier on May 27, 2007

Yes,I would appreciate that.

I sent an edit tab addition to birth place, i.e. Iowa and birth date, 1879, both information from GenWeb Mortality Schedule from Grundy Co, IA. The doctor said his age was 1 year, and born in Iowa.
I have not found the parents' dates of arrival in Iowa, but a later census says the number of years married, which would calculate to
1875. 1880 Fed Census lists them with one farm laborer in their household. Censuses were usually taken in the summer. This places the family in Washington Twp, Grundy Co, IA, USA.
They stayed there thru about 1883 or 1884 according to children's information in the IA 1885 Census on another website.
Just thought I would save you some time wondering if I had done my research before sending the edit.
Thank you for all you do here. No, I am not ready to take this family for managing/ there is likely someone else that would like to do that.

re: memorial #59758115
Thank you so much for the lovely photos of her burial and her husband's burial. She is my husband's paternal grandmother who he never knew and we don't live nearby to visit the graves. We have just found some additional documentation in his father's papers and I would like to add one more photo but the 5 is maxed out. Since you have added all 3 grave pictures to her husband, could you please remove the last photo of the complete burial site so I can upload one more item? I would really appreciate it.
